📢 Attention Sellers and Vendors! 🚨 New Announcement from Amazon: We regret to inform you that the Manage Your Customer Engagement (MYCE) tool for brands is no longer available, and all campaigns ceased on February 16, 2024. After a thorough review, Amazon determined that MYCE did not consistently deliver the quality for value that they strive to provide for users. Here are a few things to note about this change: 🗓️ As of February 16, 2024, any ongoing MYCE campaigns will only reach a portion of the intended send population. 📉 Campaigns scheduled to send after February 16, 2024, will not be completed, and metrics for post-February 16 campaigns will not populate on the MYCE dashboard. 📊 Users can download past MYCE data starting from March 29, 2024. ❗ After April 30, 2024, the MYCE dashboard will be removed from Seller Central and Vendor Central, and campaign data will no longer be accessible. Amazon can sustain increasing CACs because of 1 decision (you could take the same): Building their Prime membership program. Let’s do some math for a store with the following numbers: AOV = $50. Repurchase frequency = 3/y. A customer churns after 2 years. In this case, your LTV = 50*3*2= $300. If you want your ROAS > 3, Your CPA should equal a max of $100. If your CPA rises to $150 (another IOS 14 event 😉), you’re in trouble. The only choices you have are to find a way to: 1) Increase AOV 2) Increase retention That’s precisely what a Prime-like membership does. Time for some math again: AOV = $65 Repurchase frequency = 3/Y A customer churns after 4 years. In this case, your LTV= 65*3*4 = $780, The new $150 CPA won’t bother you. Amazon did it.
