Today, I had the opportunity to participate in a "Train the Trainer" session at work, and it was fascinating to see how differently each of us learns , and interprets instructions. Understanding *why* adults learn adds a whole new dimension to how we approach training and development. The 4-hour session was not only insightful but also incredibly engaging. I’m confident the skills and knowledge gained will be invaluable in my day-to-day role. I’m grateful to be part of a company that prioritizes the continuous growth and development of its staff. Here’s to turning learning into action! #Training #ProfessionalDevelopment #ContinuousLearning #GrowthMindset

50% of learning ROI for any training event happens AFTER training. Imagine doing nothing. Like watching a little league team that doesn't practice lose to a team that does. It's not pretty. SEG clients get it, and we just listed their top post-training approaches: - Best-practice discussions and documentation. - 'Office hours' group practice - virtual and in-person. - 1-1 coaching. Ride-a-longs and/or post-meeting debriefs. - Success sharing that connects skills to results. - In-house 'how I did it' story telling - written and verbal. - 'Prep parties' - to ensure upcoming meetings go well. - Weekly or bi-weekly moments - or real time! You don't have to do any of these. But if you want to successfully compete... What's your favorite way to ensure new skills are used to success?

Why engagement is 'that important' in Learning & Development? We recently carried out our flagship 'Train The Trainer' program called 'The MAD Trainer' - although basic concepts remain the same, they way it was executed was totally different (with regards to what is normally done) But we had one focus since it's inception - We wanted to keep it 'Engaging' - So, we went ahead and used Gather - interestingly, the program was originally conceptualized to be 'On Site' so we wanted a lot of team building and meeting real people. However, we were able to translate our thoughts well here - The trainee feedback was awesome and we loved every bit of it. Keeping it 'Engaging' resulted in trainees completing their coursework with far greater interest. They are now looking forward to more! and that's where we aced it! Below are a few screenshots of the virtual office we built, the program had complete training in the board room, breaks and hang outs! Keep watching this space for more! #learninganddevelopment #traininganddevelopment #training #coaching

Arriving Early for Training Sessions: Why It Matters. As consultants, we know that every detail counts—especially timing. Arriving early to training sessions isn't just about punctuality; it’s about maximizing the quality and impact of our delivery. Here’s why: 1. Preparation and Setup: Getting there ahead of time ensures that all equipment and materials are ready, avoiding any technical hiccups. A smooth start = a successful session. 2. Making a Strong Impression: Showing up early demonstrates professionalism and respect for everyone’s time. It sets a positive tone and builds credibility right from the start. 3. Mental Focus: Those few extra minutes allow us to gather our thoughts, review notes, and go in with confidence—leading to a stronger and more focused delivery. 4. Creating Connections: Early arrivals provide time to meet participants, make introductions, and create a welcoming atmosphere, building rapport even before the session begins. 5. Handling Last-Minute Needs: From setup adjustments to addressing last-minute questions, being there early means we’re prepared for anything. In consulting, details like these go a long way in delivering a seamless, impactful training experience. After all, it’s the little things that make a big difference!
