All in one day training - it doesn't work. Organisations are being taken advantage of. Who can possibly 'learn' 10+ different, and often unrelated, important and complex topics in a day without using any of them in practise. It's the training equivalent of unmanageable multi-tasking on a massive scale. Less like just in time learning and more like absolutely no time to learn. We need time to consider what we're learning, how we're going to use it and implementing the knowledge in practice, preferably in a real life setting. I'm not sure how providers are getting away with delivering these compressed, low quality, days, but if you're a purchaser - take care as it's legally down to you to ensure what your team are being given is fit for purpose. Cheap and fast = low quality Boxes ticked = no one really learns Risky = risky
