The deadline for new regulations under the Mobility Package 2024 is approaching. By December 2024, all vehicles in international transport will need to be equipped with Generation II smart tachographs. The new devices will replace analogue tachographs and older digital versions. The most important novelty is the automatic recording of the moment of crossing the border. In addition, the new rules require tachograph data from the current day and the previous 56 days to be stored and submitted for inspection, instead of the previous 28 days. These changes are aimed at improving the monitoring of drivers' working time and providing more transparency in the transport industry.
