CEO / founder of ATLANTIC EXPATS, we provide relocation concierge services, so European expats can have the most seamless transition into the Hampton Roads area, Virginia, US
GOLF ⛳️ Golf in the US and Europe shares a common origin but has evolved into distinct experiences. In the US 🇺🇸, golf courses tend to be more expansive and meticulously maintained, with an emphasis on luxurious amenities. American golf culture often revolves around resort-style courses and private country clubs, and the game is deeply intertwined with social and business networking. In contrast, European golf maintains a closer connection to the sport’s traditional roots. European courses often integrate more with the natural terrain, offering a more rugged and authentic feel. While the US emphasises grandeur, Europe prioritizes history and the natural beauty of the game. #atlanticexpats #expats #expatlife #topgolf #relocationspecialists #relocation #relocationservices #movetonorfolk #movetovirginiabeach #europeansintheusa

Former Senator 11th Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago. 🇹🇹 Trinidad & Tobago National Reparations Committee Member
Golf as a sport for economic transformation in Southwest Trinidad My paternal grandfather Oswald Paris was an avid golfer. There are two things I know about him one is that he was serious about development as he contributed to the Credit Union Movement via Texaco Employees Credit Union and that he was deeply into sports. Watching this video about the role of African American pioneers in golf who paved the way for a Tiger Woods to even be possible is inspiring. Golf locally can be a tool for economic transformation especially for Southwest Trinidad. When we consider that there are three dormant courses in Brighton (La Brea), Bennet Village (Los Bajos, Palo Seco) and Clifton Hill (Point Fortin) these can be revitalised. When we add the possibility of small hotels/entertainment centres on these courses it can serve as an opportunity for domestic tourism. The benefits of sports in the lifestyle of citizens will also ensure that this non-contact sport enhances the healthy living of citizens as we age. Golf enthusiasts from Southwest Trinidad let us have this conversation about revitalising our three golf courses and work toward adding another layer in the economic transformation of our nation. https://lnkd.in/eiBkvcGX

I'm a member of the the Golf Power Poll panel and this month the questions were about money in golf. One of the questions was concerning whether the vast amount of money 🤑 currently in professional golf is having an adverse effect on fans' interest - i.e., are fans actually turning off as purses astronomically increase? In my case, yes. And, according to the Power Poll results I am not alone in this opinion. Personally, I am less than excited about the 'Signature' events - a few are fine, but 8 is way too many - especially in this schedule shorten #Olympic year. Nick Dunlap winning twice on the PGA TOUR - once as an amateur - emphasizes the fact that ANYONE in the field can win and I (along with the players ranked 51-125/150) would like to see the return to more full field events - WITH more of the Top 50 in those fields. Or as a compromise to the 'elephant in the room' as the only time that LIV's top players now play against PGA TOUR & DP World Tour is the Majors – take 4 of those 8 Signature events and have 1/2 the field be LIV Golf players and half PGA Tour/ DP World Tour players with full OGWR points & the same purses (with the Public Investment Fund (PIF) contributing) so there starts to be some true relevance on who the best players actually are. Just a thought - Golf is truly a global game played by millions who love it - let's embrace and celebrate it, instead of fighting amongst the professional elite. See you on the #links!!! #golf #globalgame #professionalgolf #signatureevents #lovegolf #playgolf #amateurgolf #LIV #PGATOUR #DPWorldTour #PowerPoll #PowerPollGolf Scott Michaux 54 #celebrategolf #moneyinsport Joe Pompliano Tipesh Tank
It pays to play in the PGA Tour's eight signature events.

There are so many lessons to extrapolate from achieving this Guinness world record; especially for my friends steering businesses. Here, for the first time in 7 months I talk about crossing Australia & secrets to sucsess: (shhhhh: mindset). I’d not have manged this talk without Adelle Howse and my team, the same thing I speak about in this clip; the importance of having people around who can believe in you before you can yourself. Thank you so much all; together anything truly is possible. https://lnkd.in/gFqcPgNE

Augusta National is far more than a golf club, and it's far more than the site for one of the world's leading sporting events. Indeed, it is a one-of-its-kind organization that exemplifies excellence across a multitude of disciplines. As I departed from Augusta over the weekend, I reflected on this special place that Jim Nanz aptly described on television as "a tradition unlike any other." (Augusta subsequently trademarked this phrase). Below are three observations that struck me as fundamental to Augusta's remarkable success. ✅ Attention to detail. At Augusta, every detail is attended to. From the perfect fairways, where not a single blade of grass appears out of place, to the spotless stands and the staff's service, nothing is overlooked. ✅ A vision unlike any other. Augusta was born in 1932 out of the dauntless vision of Bobby Jones (then an iconic US golfer) and British golf course architect Dr. Alister MacKenzie to be a leading national golf course that would host world-class competitions. The club's commitment to being the best is reflected in everything you see—from television coverage to positioning attendees as "patrons" rather than spectators to the club's blue-chip membership. ✅ Long-term decision-making. Augusta does not play for short-term wins. It is invested in long-term value creation and a fundamentally different product than other tournaments. It executes for the long term with unwavering commitment. The famous 330-yard Magnolia Lane that extends from the entrance gate to the clubhouse was paved in 1947, yet the large magnolia trees that line both sides of the road date to the late 1850s. Anchored in tradition but embracing change with cutting-edge technology and analysis—that, to me, is what makes Augusta great. If you have not visited the Masters, I would encourage you to do so—even if it is only to study the remarkable Augusta National institution. #AugustaNational #Golf #Excellence #MagnoliaLane #Tradition
