AW-TRANS Project Sharing Our company AW-TRANS recently arrange a shipment in several lot. At the first arrangement, we find some problem with loading in factory. 1. No packaging for small cargo. It might make small goods lost. 2. Mess with packing list and Marking. This will make sort goods out difficult. 3. No loading plan, lose space in container. Our staff found the problem in time, and guide factory for this shipment. Stick Marking on wooden case and packing list for every container get easy to find the cargo when offloaded and avoid loss. Packaging and loading plan could save space and the usage rate of container over 80%. If you have any cargo need to ship from China, we will pay high attention to the entire process. Change of rules, or who will pay the additional costs... From 15 March 2024, an order was issued to change the rules for anchoring vessels at the Renia roadstead. In 2023, when there were more than 100 vessels inside the Danube, both banks of the river became anchorages, and then no one wondered where to anchor a vessel. A vessel was anchored wherever there was free space. But, what we have now? At first view it seems that this innovation doesn't affect the work of the fleet in any way, but it is not so. In fact, this order restricted the ability of Ukrainian pilots to navigate the Danube beyond the Reni roadstead. How it works in practice? We have a vessel with cargo in Giurgiulesti, the next loading port is Reni. According to the navigation rules, a Romanian pilot should be on board for the 44-64 mile section, but nothing is said about the 71-69 mile section. Therefore, usually a Ukrainian pilot took the vessel from mile 71 (Giurgiulesti roadstead) and directed her to the berth of Reni port (mile 69). Now the Ukrainian pilot can't do it. I will not speculate on the true reason for these innovations, but I will note, that now for these 2 miles (71-69) it is necessary to order a Romanian pilot, and pay money for pilotage + time to wait for him. All this is an additional cost for the owner. I thinck this isn't good for the Danube region in the current realities. Over on the Intelligent Cargo Systems Academy, we're discussing "What is a port call?" 🤔 The famous Dutch footballer Johan Cruyff once said, “Playing football is very simple, but playing simple football is the hardest thing there is.” ⚽ In container shipping, the same can be said about port calls. At its core, the concept of a port call — when a ship stops at a port to load and unload cargo — seems straightforward. But executing a smooth port call mirrors Cruyff's sentiment. The mastery of simplicity can elevate the maritime industry's efficiency, safety, and profitability. 🧘♂️ We discuss the following topics for container ship operations in detail in our latest article - 1. Planning for arrival. 2. Berthing 3. Preparing for Cargo Operations 4. During Cargo Operations 5. Finalizing Cargo Operations and Preparing for Departure 6.
