At Fawley Bryant, client input is a foundational aspect of our creative process. What may seem like an art project in progress with Tuba here is, in reality, our unique method of crafting a visual representation of the future. Printing land elements to scale enables us to arrange their layout during stakeholder meetings, fostering collaborative brainstorming and aiding in the visualization of their future master plan. We affectionately refer to this resource as a Master Plan Puzzle. As we assemble these miniature maps with our clients, we often uncover options that might otherwise have remained undiscovered. This collaborative mapping signifies an early step in our master plan design process, establishing the groundwork for future innovation and success. #PartnershipDriven

Two questions: 1. Can a bioplastic game offically be labeled "Minnesota Grown" if it comes from local corn?* 2. Anyone out there know others in Minnesota or the Upper Midwest who manufacture great filament for 3D printers?** With my son's successful Kickstarter for Bad Plumbing Game, he's now ordered his 3D printer. He has about 50 copies of his unique game to print and ship before college starts. As a big booster of all things #madeinminnesota, I'm on a quest to find out if any 3D printer filament is made in Minnesota. I've learned that Minnesota-based NatureWorks (owned in part by Cargill) is a world leader in PLA production and corn is major ingredient. I'm trying to suss out if it's Minnesota corn or where it's grown ... but that's cool. (* Update: It turns out the corn is grown in Nebraska on farms surrounding their manufacturing plant.) It's notable that their PLA is compostable in industrial facilities, that said Liam's game is one you'll want to keep forever. :-) *We've found three Midwestern companies that make filament - 3D-Fuel (Fargo), COEX (Green Bay), Atomic Filament (Indiana) with NatureWorks PLA thus far. They both have a wide variety of colors. In the end, Liam controls his limited budget, so at this point we're in a quick discovery mode to see if big ideas and ideals match up with that budget as well. :-) Advice and tips appreciated. #makelocal #buylocal #madeinusa #madeinamerica #tabletopgames #boardgames #3Dprinting Jacob Vitek, John Schneider, Spencer Loveless, Brian Erickson, Jennifer Alexander, Thom Petersen, Matt Varilek, Jeffrey Winsor, Anne Dougherty, Stratasys, Protolabs, Virginia Thompson, Atlas Games, Tim McNulty

UPDATE: After another chat it looks like the funding will simply be deferred till April 2025. As always I appreciate the people who take the time to share details and experience, it really helps SME's like me navigate through. Onwards! Well, bummer. My IRAP development funding was pulled, even though I had paid the fee and everything was submitted. Guess they ran out of money. In the last two funding cycles I did learn that I have all the skills to do what is needed, though I will miss working with the TAC group as they were good people! The funding never came to me, so I was never able to pay myself to do the work. There is a deep irony that I would be the person someone would hire to do this sort of thing (hempcrete printing development, alternative material use, natural building), but that I can't pay myself to do it full time (yet). What to do next... Hm. I'm going to jump back into design, and parallel it with what I can do with clay and hempcrete. The pizza oven is still on the table, as well as objects d'art. I need to make the next payment on the printer ASAP. Time to clay print. A lot. I have all six of my filament printers in production for sales, now it is time to find production lines for the clay printer that lead me towards full scale printing. Let me know if you have ideas for funding, or want to work on something together - with the caveat that despite my wish otherwise, my time is limited until I can pay myself. I've attached a photo of one of my #hempcrete walls. #onwards #bootstrapping #nameofthegame #3dspaceterraform #3DST #naturalbuilding #alternativematerials #buildingscience

Pathfinder Loot Generator project Update #2: I've managed to get my GUI set up! There's no underlying code for it yet, but it looks good, all things considered! I still need to get the logic around the button printing to the output field sorted out, but after that, the next step is going to be to set up a file that holds some items and information about them. I'll pull that file in and using the provided variables, randomly pull some loot to display. I'll focus on the edition selection, Encounter Level, and Party Size first, and then move onto the item types and magic types. I think the best way to handle that would be to assign each item a list of tags, but I expect it to be complex.
