🚚🔗 Safety on the roads starts with a simple click! The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is stepping up to better understand truck drivers' behaviors and enhance road safety through a forthcoming survey on seat belt usage. Back in my early days behind the wheel of a big rig, I recall the mixed views on seat belt usage among fellow drivers. It’s heartening to see a focused effort to gather data directly from 1,060 truck drivers across the U.S., aiming to craft more effective safety communications and interventions. Why do some truckers skip the buckle? 🤔 Is it comfort, habit, or something else? I remember discussions during long hauls where some seasoned drivers felt seat belts were more restrictive than protective. It's crucial we address these perceptions for everyone's safety. If you're a truck driver or know someone who is, how do you view the seat belt? Do current safety measures and communications resonate with you? The FMCSa is currently inviting public comments before they proceed. This is your chance to voice your thoughts and help shape the future of road safety for commercial vehicle drivers. 🛣️ 📢 Let's talk about what keeps us safe and what needs to change. Share your views below! #TruckDriverSafety #RoadSafety #FMCSA #SeatBeltSafety #CommercialDriving #TransportSafety #PublicSafety

Congratulations to our carhaulers who received clean inspections in April and May, totaling three Level One inspections, 11 Level Two, and 25 Level Three. For those not in the carhaul industry, we summarize what’s involved in each inspection. ✅ Level 1: Nearly a total review of the carhauler’s vehicle, from system functions to current records, with additional driver evaluation, including health and working hours. ✅Level 2: A walk-around driver/vehicle inspection to search for topside issues or violations, not including searches underneath the truck. ✅ Level 3: A driver-only review, including information such as the driver’s license, service hours, and the driver/vehicle inspection report (Driver/Credential/Administrative Inspection). We are pleased to award these Clean Inspection Pros—from our professional company carhaulers to Independent Carhaulers—Awardco points, which can be used to purchase items from our extensive catalog based on the level of clean inspections. While safety is always important, we want to recognize these accomplishments. Thanks to everyone for making safety a priority on every drive and haul. #DrivenToDeliver #carhaulindustry #CleanInspections #SafetyFirst #SafetyAlways

🚛🕒 Understanding Your ELD Statuses: On Duty, Off Duty, Sleeper Berth, and Driving 🛏️🚚 Hey, truckers! Let's talk about ELD statuses and what they mean for your day on the road. Knowing the ins and outs of these statuses can help you stay compliant and manage your time effectively. Here's a quick breakdown: 🟢 On Duty: This status means you're actively working but not driving. It includes tasks like loading/unloading, fueling, and performing vehicle inspections. Remember to log these activities accurately to maintain compliance. 🔴 Off Duty: When you're off duty, you're not working and not responsible for the vehicle. This time is for resting, eating, and other personal activities. It's crucial to switch to this status during breaks and off-duty periods to track your rest time correctly. 💤 Sleeper Berth: Use this status when you're taking your required rest break in the sleeper berth. It's essential to adhere to the Hours of Service (HOS) regulations regarding sleeper berth usage to ensure you're well-rested and compliant. 🚚 Driving: When you're behind the wheel and the vehicle is in motion, you should be in the driving status. This status captures your driving time accurately and is a crucial component of your HOS log. Understanding and correctly using these ELD statuses is key to staying compliant with DOT regulations and managing your time effectively on the road. Drive safe and stay informed! 🛣️💡 #ELDStatuses #TruckingCompliance #KnowYourStatus #StaySafeOnTheRoad

We are proud to celebrate Steeve Pool, our Safety Star, who has achieved an outstanding safety score of 100! With 44 years of driving experience, Steeve exemplifies the safety-first mindset that is crucial in the trucking industry. His advice to fellow drivers: "Just take your time and don't rush." Steeve's dedication to safety and his exceptional performance as a local driver make him an invaluable member of our fleet. Here are a few safety tips for CDL drivers inspired by Steeve's approach: 1️⃣ Start with a Safety Check: Ensure your vehicle is in top condition before hitting the road. Regular inspections can prevent accidents and breakdowns. 2️⃣ Stay Alert and Avoid Distractions: According to the FMCSA, distracted driving is a leading cause of accidents. Keep your focus on the road and avoid using mobile devices while driving. 3️⃣ Maintain Safe Following Distances: It takes longer for trucks to stop compared to smaller vehicles. Keeping a safe distance can prevent rear-end collisions. 4️⃣ Adjust Speed for Conditions: Whether it's bad weather or heavy traffic, always adjust your speed to match road conditions. Speeding is a major factor in truck accidents. 5️⃣ Take Regular Breaks: Fatigue is a significant risk for truck drivers. The CDC recommends taking breaks and adhering to Hours of Service regulations to stay rested and alert. We are fortunate to have drivers like Steeve Pool who lead by example with their safety-centered ethos. Thank you, Steeve, for your unwavering commitment to safety and excellence on the road. #SafetyFirst #TruckingSafety #CDLDrivers #TitaniumTransportation #RoadSafety #ProfessionalDrivers #TruckingExcellence #DriverTips #SafetyCulture #FleetSafety
