Turnover happens. But the worst part of turnover is when you lose critical organizational knowledge, because that can't be brought back. So prepare for it. Figure it out. Sit your employees down. Figure out what is the crucial critical organizational knowledge that they hold. And understand - is it shared by other people? How many other people is it shared with? Get it written down. Have it on your company's servers so that everyone can access it at any time. Have a company initiative where everyone does it, not just people on your team. But if that can't happen, at least get it on the people on your team so that the knowledge will not disappear. And you may think, "Well, if I do something like that, everyone's going to think they're going to get fired." And that's why it is really helpful to have the whole organization do it. But even if it's just your team, just talk about why it's important. How it's important that everyone has the same information as everybody else so that they could be successful. Make a plan. Get the company knowledge into documents. that can be shared.
