Banfield Pet Hospital has been a longtime supporter of Transition Projects, invested in working to solve homelessness. They have sponsored our Veterans Resource & Wellness fair event, regularly volunteered to sort donations in our warehouse, and they supply us with hygiene packs for people & pets — a wonderful resource for our shelter participants! Thank you for all you do in our community Banfield Pet Hospital! Interested in getting involved? Visit www.tprojects.org to find opportunities to donate and volunteer.

In the face of devastating fires, I am fortunate to be safe, many others are not as fortunate. Your support can make a difference. Consider donating essential items like bath towels, feminine hygiene supplies, pet essentials, and children's clothing to aid those affected directly. It's crucial to remember that the impact of these fires extends beyond celebrities to families, children, and pets who have lost their homes and livelihoods. If you're unable to contribute supplies, offering your time as a volunteer can be just as valuable in assisting those in need. For more ways to support, including donating supplies, volunteering your time, or providing temporary care for displaced pets, check out the link below: https://lnkd.in/giTwmZFV

Are you tired of always being asked for donations? What if, instead of just giving money, you saw it as a chance to support your community? Donations make communities stronger. There are many missions you can support, like healthcare, education, the arts, animal rescue, and the environment. Everyone who wants to give is welcome. When you donate, you help. Fundraisers and donors are both givers. Sounds interesting, right? I’ve written some posts about how giving changes us. Fundraisers create ways for people to donate, helping feed others, build buildings, or provide healthcare. This process lets people help. As you read this, can you see the shift from just giving money to supporting a mission? If fundraisers focused more on serving the community, could they highlight the mission’s value better? Can we see fundraising as Mission Centered Giving? I’d love to hear your thoughts on how giving changes us. How does it change you as a donor or a fundraiser? Could Mission Centered Giving change fundraising from just asking to truly giving? Giving is a chance to experience generosity and help others. Who wants to give it a try?

🚨Please help if you have a Facebook account. Reporting is quick and easy. Comment below if you are unsure of how to do it & I will happily show you how! ♥️
***Assistance requested!*** It will take you 10 seconds. We need as many people as possible to report a fake Facebook page that has stolen our name. Our organization is marking 30 years of being a 501c3 non-profit serving animals in need. We have always had this name. This a phony "group" appears to be selling puppies. In addition to them putting our name on their page, they have their address listed as the same address as the Michigan Humane Society. Thank you so much. The offending page is located at: https://lnkd.in/geSUz-sX

What if every gift could help save a life? 🐾 With Sendoso’s Universal Giving, recipients can now donate the value of their gift to ANY charity or cause close to their heart. This Giving Tuesday, we’re spotlighting Jen Allen-Knuth and her chosen charity, Many Paws Global Rescue. Jen shared: "Every year, 920,000 dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters. Many Paws is a volunteer organization in the Chicago suburbs, comprised of 5 women who are fighting to find loving homes for dogs and cats around the world. Three of our four dogs are from Many Paws, so they have a very special place in my heart." 🧡 With over 3,400 gifts sent through Sendoso daily, the potential to support causes like Many Paws is extraordinary. Together, we can create connections that not only brighten someone’s day but also make a real-world impact. Learn more about Universal Giving here: bit.ly/49heTpV

Imagine a vending machine that doesn't just dispense snacks, but hope and kindness. A machine where you can buy more than just a quick bite, but a chance to make a real difference in someone's life. This holiday season, the Oklahoma Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is bringing a unique and inspiring initiative to Scissortail Park. From December 18 to January 3, three "Light the World Giving Machines" will be on display, offering a chance for park visitors to make an instant act of service and bring hope to those in need. Twenty-five of the 30 cards in each machine will represent essential items needed by local nonprofits, including: * Infant Crisis Services, providing food, formula, and diapers to babies and toddlers in crisis * ReMerge, serving mothers facing nonviolent felony charges * Pivot, helping teenagers experiencing homelessness with food, shelter, clothing, education, and counseling * Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the state's largest domestic hunger relief organization * NewView Oklahoma, providing services for blind or low-vision individuals Five cards in each machine will represent the needs of two global charities: Church World Services and WaterAid. With a simple card swipe, individuals can purchase items ranging from $5 to $200, and the donor receives a tax-deductible receipt, while the charity receives 100% of the donation. Local charity representatives, including Jennifer Goodwin, CEO of Pivot, and Riley Benson-Ferren, communications director of Infant Crisis Services, are excited about the potential benefits of the Giving Machines. "It's a way for people to walk up and see exactly what they're getting... a great way to raise awareness for all of the different nonprofits and a way for the community to come together and give," Goodwin said. The Light the World campaign has been a global success, with over 100 cities participating and over $33 million contributed to local charities and worldwide agencies since its debut in 2017. Oklahoma Latter-day Saints hope to make this an annual tradition, featuring different charities and locations in the future. #GivingMachine #MakeADifference #Nonprofit #Nonprofitleader #socialjustice

🌟 It’s Giving Tuesday! Help Us Train Life-Changing Dogs Like Wrangler 🐾 Today is the day to make a difference! 💙 This Giving Tuesday, we're spotlighting Paula and her service dog, Wrangler, as they practice an essential skill: retrieving objects. Wrangler is learning how to carefully pick up items like a bag of medication or medical equipment. By grabbing the strap, he ensures nothing fragile inside is damaged. Skills like these can be life-saving for our clients and empower them to live more independently. Your support helps us train dogs like Wrangler to provide critical assistance to people in need. With your donation, you’re not just helping train service dogs—you’re creating partnerships that transform lives. 🦴 🐾 Join us this Giving Tuesday! Together, we can bring hope, independence, and wagging tails to even more people. As many of you know, I’ve been deeply involved in volunteering with a remarkable charity called Tenth Life in Varna, Bulgaria (https://tenthlife.bg/), that’s working tirelessly to address the severe issue of stray cats in the streets. These dedicated people are doing incredible work, treating the sick and finding them new homes, while having amazing success stories. However, there are so many stray cats in Varna that neutering them is the only to prevent suffering and control overpopulation. The situation is dire—many of these cats in the streets are suffering from preventable illnesses, and the only thing standing between them and a healthier life is a simple procedure that costs 30 euro. This charity is essentially operating single-handedly, and while they have the passion and the manpower, they urgently need financial support to continue this critical work. How You Can Help: 1) Donate 30 euro (60 lev) (or any amount you can) to fund a neutering procedure that will not only save a cat from suffering but also reduce the number of strays on the streets. 2) Spread the word by sharing this post and raising awareness of the issue. Your contribution, no matter the size, can make a significant impact. It’s a direct way to improve the lives of these animals and support the incredible work of this charity. If you’re able to help, please consider donating here: https://lnkd.in/eWt_eZaz. Every bit truly makes a difference.

🦔 2 YEARS OF TRUNDLING 🦔 It was always part of my business plan for elevate to give back🎗️ But this is tricky as I build my business because every penny counts towards keeping it afloat. So you might call it fate when a chance connection with Hilary Mines over social media made giving back so easy. Her walking app trundl turns everyday walks into charity donations 💷 As someone who needs to get out for a walk in nature most days to help me feel human, an app that tracks this activity and collectively contributes money to charity is a no brainer 🚶🏻♀️ I have been paying £3.99 a month for the last 2 years which along with my combined walking distances means I have walked 2012km, saved 15kg of CO2 and contributed £234 to various charities including: Move Against Cancer, National Parks UK, Sussex Wildlife Trust, Dogs for Autism, The Trussell Trust and Ramblers 🙌🏼 I tell everyone I meet about trundl. About what an amazing idea it is, how easy it is to use and how it does such invaluable work for small charities who feel the pinch of the demise of the collection bucket on the high street 🪣 I also use and promote it at every Elevate Netwalking event. As it’s a collective initiative, the more people who use it to track their walks, the more money is raised for charity 🤝 It’s a no brainer. Have you tried trundl ❓ #WalkingForACause #CharityWalk #NatureLovers #MindfulMovement #SustainableLiving #CommunityImpact #WalkingApp #GetOutside #SupportLocalCharities
