We are sure you'll forgive the (early) Christmas-themed photo and post as it is for a very good cause! Cambridge City Foodbank’s Christmas Hamper Appeal 2024. Last year, thanks to the generosity of our member companies, individual members, and partners, Unity Campus made the largest donation of food hampers to Cambridge City Foodbank, helping them surpass their goal of 800 hampers. This year, we are showing our support again, and hope to surpass last year’s donation of 57 hampers. Here’s how you can help and some tips: 1. Pledge the number of hampers you'd like to donate (email Unity Campus Community Engagement Manager Jess: j.harvey-bowman@unitycampus.co.uk) and start a team collection throughout November. You can invite your team to contribute items using a shared Excel spreadsheet - this approach worked well for Howard Group. 2. Encourage your suppliers and network to get involved and support your donation efforts. 3. If your company has a charity budget, you may wish to donate hampers on behalf of your organisation. To donate a hamper, please fill a sturdy carrier bag with the items listed below and bring your donation on Tuesday 10th December to The Works at Unity Campus between 12:00 and 14:00, where you’ll receive a festive thank-you! We’ll ensure that all hampers are delivered to the Foodbank that same afternoon. Food Hamper Items: 1. Chocolate log or non-alcoholic Christmas cake 2. Children’s Christmas chocolate (e.g. selection box) 3. After-dinner/adult chocolate (no alcohol-filled ones) 4. Sweet fancy biscuits 5. Sharing crips 6. Cheesy/savoury biscuits 7. Nuts (shelled) 8. Dried fruit (e.g. apricots, figs) 9. Tinned ham, tuna or salmon 10. Sweet pickles, chutney or jam 11. Shower gel, hand soap,or shampoo Important notes: - No perishable items, and all products should have a use-by date of 25th December or later. - No homemade items, please. We greatly appreciate any support you can offer in helping us make a difference to those in need again this year. #Cambridge #ChristmasHamperAppeal #Foodbank

As we approach Thanksgiving, the food supply chain in particular is on our mind at RELEX Solutions. End of year is a time of feasting for many, but also a time when want is at its most evident. That’s why this November, we launch a campaign on LinkedIn: for every new follower we get (up to 5,000 followers), we donate 1 USD to Feeding America, a charity that makes it easier for people to get healthy food. Follow us on LinkedIn this November and gain fresh insights on food supply chain – and do good. #donation #supplychain #food

how can we assist this project?
Hello, I am reaching out to seek partnership donations for approximately 140 pounds of shrimp to support an exciting culinary event in our community. Each year, several high school culinary programs in the greater Indianapolis area participate in Food Fight. This year’s event will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at The Grand Hall (400 N High School Road, Indianapolis, IN 46214). In this "Chopped"-style competition, local high school culinary teams will compete for the title of Master Chef by creating dishes using items from the Westminster Neighborhood Services, Inc. Food Pantry. Event attendees and a panel of judges will sample the dishes and vote for the Crowd Favorite and the Judge’s Master Chef. The funds raised through this event are vital to Westminster's core programs and services, addressing the critical needs of our community's most vulnerable members. These funds help ensure that every neighbor has access to the resources needed to build a successful future. If your company can support this wonderful event, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Attached is the official donation letter, and your company would receive appropriate recognition and representation for your contribution to this meaningful cause. Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a difference!

🍬 Got too much Halloween candy? Don't let it sit around calling your name! This is the perfect time to donate, throw it out, or hide it for later. Here are a few ways to deal with your candy stash: ✨ Donate: Our local Ronald McDonald House and Operation Shoebox are both fantastic places to bring extra candy to brighten someone else’s day! 🍫❤️ ✨ Throw it Out: No shame in ditching what you don’t need. You’re saving yourself (and your teeth) for the upcoming holiday treats! 🗑️ ✨ Hide it: Save some for holiday baking or to use in small doses as treat incentives. (Just don't forget where you hid it! 😉) What’s your go-to solution for leftover candy? Donate, ditch, or stash? #HalloweenCandy #CandyOverload #SweetSolutions #RonaldMcDonaldHouse #OperationShoebox

You can take that to the BANK! The Food Bank. This is the season where many of us donate to families in need. Sone important things you might want to consider: if you are planning on helping families at a food bank this season, things you probably don’t know; BOXED MILK is a treasure, as kids need it for cereal which they get a lot of. They receive awesome canned veggies and soup but they need CAN OPENERS or POP TOP CANS. SPICES or SALT and PEPPER would be a real gift. TEA BAGS and COFFEE make them feel like you care. SUGAR and FLOUR are treats. TUNA (pop top) and CRACKERS make a good lunch. They get lots of peanut butter and jelly but usually not SANDWICH BREAD. BUTTER or MARGARINE is nice too. EGGS are a real commodity. CAKE MIX and FROSTING makes it possible to make a child’s birthday cake. DISHWASHING and LAUNDRY DETERGENT are very expensive and always appreciated. FEMININE PRODUCTS are a luxury and women will cry over that. In all the years I have donated food, I brought what I thought was wanted, and then finally asked. I'm so glad that I did. If you are helping families in need no this Holiday Season, please consider these recommendations. Please SPREAD THE WORD #donate #foodbanks #food #generosity

Health comes in a lot of forms within our community and so do our needs. One need that is a challenge for 23% of households this holiday season is food insecurity. In fact, over the last 5 years, Canadian food banks saw a 90% increase in visits. 300,000 of those visits were for children. For these reasons, Body Co will be running a food drive for The Daily Bread Food Bank this holiday season. As of today, you can drop off non-perishable food items or make a cash donation with our administrative team. Items that are most needed are: 🥫Shelf-stable and non-perishable foods that are long-lasting – like rice, beans, pasta, and flours. 🐟️ Canned protein like chicken and tuna. If you would like to make a donation directly to the Daily Bread Food Bank, you can do so at: dailybread.ca #foodinsecurity #foodbank #communitycare #bodycotoronto
