As commander, he is responsible for six squadrons and eight detachments, enabling command and control operations for 11 Combatant Commands. DEL 6 provides combat ready forces to operate and maintain the Satellite Control Network and conduct defensive cyber operations for unique space mission networks. Their Guardians, civilians and contractors provide global space access to enable spacecraft command and control, space launch, and orbital operations. Rolling Stones "I can't think outside of my tiny paradigm, so I'm going to whine and complain about something I don't understand!" That paradigm, in this case, comes from USMC Boot Camp and his return to instruct. Eventually, most of my videos on Facebook get views in the hundreds of thousands, which is good, but it means stupid comments are sure to be posted. A while ago I posted this brief video of a behind-the-scenes look at individual training and rehearsal for a 1stSgt at Marine Barracks Washington. Oh the whining! Very few are willing to ask questions, and when they do, some appreciate my explanation. When commenters write something like this, they are even less willing to understand my explanation because they absolutely refuse to learn anything but the party line. We need people like this in each service, but we don't need them that way for life. An unwillingness to learn is a dead end. No growth equals stagnation equals obsolescence in some cases. I'm getting a kick out of these #DrivebyComment posts! I hope you are too. Congress has ordered the Navy to study what #ships can be up-armed for a potential conflict with #China, with the Senate Armed Services Committee, “concerned with the number of #Navy battle force ships and vertical launch platforms for missiles over the next two years.” Frustratingly, the fleet left a direct answer to this question on the table almost 8 years ago. The force understood & posed novel solutions to fleet gaps in 2015 when VADM’s Thomas Copeman & Rowden proposed Distributed Lethality @ the Surface Navy Association. Distributed Lethality provided a refreshingly honest, public discussion by the surface force about our historic mistakes in weapons procurement & development while charting a practical path forward. That’s not to say DL was the be-all answer, but it was a strong start of an honest, pragmatic discussion that should have continued in earnest. Unfortunately, the institutional PR defenses went back up, DL died, and almost a decade of opportunity for advocacy on issues pre-empting #Congress’s concerns was lost. The institutional response has greatly improved, but the eight years lost after distributed lethality’s initial proposal should be a lesson to all that care about advancing American Seapower & professional discourse. #weapons #innovation #warships #leadership #Pacific #SouthChinaSea #Defense

He emphasizes the use of both speed and decisiveness to ensure victory, something that cannot be achieved without solid preparation and organization ahead of time. In the interests of making full use of the allocated resources, Sun Tzu strongly recommends that "those adept in waging war do not require a second levy of conscripts nor more than one provisioning." The commentators weigh in on this idea by providing examples of past campaigns that were successful because the general kept track of both the physical strengths and the state of mind of his troops. They also provide examples of generals who ignored or miscalculated factors such as hunger, thirst, attachment to accumulated loot, or outrage at an injustice that impaired the ability of their troops to fight with decisive speed. This is called a Drive-by Comment. This type of comment is stupid and has zero value. There's nothing in the comment that would make anyone pause and say, "Hey, maybe he's right" because there's no citation of standard. My reply is below. Explain why. You can't explain why because you are unaware that remains travel feet-first. On a ship, the casket would be sent over the side going feet-first, the flag would be held exactly like this because the canton must be at the head over the left shoulder. Just because this is an urn doesn't make a difference. This is how the flag is positioned every single time for a burial at sea. These Sailors are #pallbearers #bodybearers #casketbearers - this is not a flag detsil. They are at Attention aboard a ship, that's why their feet are separated holding the flag over the urn at tabletop. If their heels were together, they would fall over because of the waves. 👍I don't mind anyone forming an argument completely or partially against what I post, but it needs to reference published standards.
