GIT 20 DAYS LEARNING CHALLENGE Day 3...so before I gist you guys on the rundown of class day 3, let me give a little insights of ELEMENTS OF A GOOD DESIGN. Good design encompasses three important elements: form, aesthetic, and functionality. * FORM: refers to the physical appearance and structure of a design, including elements like shape, size, and layout. * AESTHETIC: considerations involve the overall visual appeal and style of the design. FUNCTIONALITY: These relates to how well the design serves its intended purpose and how effectively it meets users' needs. Below are some Aesthetic elements explained by the facilitator Nelly Adegoke 1. Easy to follow layout 2. Harmonious colors 3. Useful animations 4. Readable typography 5. Helpful cues 6. Visual consistency 7. balance whitespace 8. High quality imagery. While the Functionality elements is centered on; * User-centric * Usability and * Accessibility. Therefore, a successful design harmoniously balances these elements to create a visually appealing and functional solution. With that been said our wonderful facilitator Nelly Adegoke gave us our first project which we are to present on Friday 19th April. "We are to pick any fintech product and research on it's User(s) pain point, problem statement and solution." Though I did and submitted mine, but it wasn't among those chosen to be presented 🤦 and this is because though my research was good, but it lacks one of the Elements, which is AESTHETIC 😭. But I do take a lesson home from that class, that is ✓ My design journey has started ✓ I learned how to create slides with Google slides 😂 ✓ I have to buckle up and don't settle for less or else I will be left behind. All thanks to the organizer Africa Agility Foundation and my wonderful facilitators. Join me tomorrow 👋👋👋 #20DaysinPDinAA #GIT20DayChallenge #uiuxdesigner #girlintech #cohort7 #Africaagilityfoundation #figma

Ok, this is interesting. I’m not a fan of hackathons. Most places I’ve seen do it just buy more programming work with the pizza on weekend that way. Which is not cool. But mobathon sounds like a hackathon with a very concrete goal. If it’s done during work hours, I approve. #hackathon #mobathon #softwareengineering #softwaredevelopment
A new process we are trying. I've founds its great for introducing new technology. We used it to introduce and rollout vite, and get all our systems off webpack. We did 2 systems finished in 1 day, and another 8 with open PRs that teams could finish off later. And 20 people who now understand vite from real world experience on their own systems, was the best part.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐚 🥷: 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐨𝐰-𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 Greetings, fellow low-code lovers! When starting the low-code development journeys, people often encounter feelings of being overwhelmed by the vastness of knowledge. But fear not, for the key to unlocking your low-code potential lies in a two-pronged approach: the power of practice and effective study skills. Think of it like building a towering skyscraper: each brick, each step, contributes to the grand structure. Similarly, each practice session, each microflow, brings you closer to low-code mastery. But just like a skyscraper needs a blueprint to guide its construction, your low-code development journey thrives with organization and planning. Effective study skills like time management become crucial. Dedicating specific blocks of time to focused practice sessions ensures you cover all the essential low-code concepts while allowing for deeper dives into specific areas. 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is your other secret weapon. Having your learning materials readily available, whether it's online tutorials, code snippets, or API documentation, streamlines your learning process. Develop a system that works for you, like summarizing key points or creating mind maps to solidify your understanding. 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲-𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 becomes your ally, especially when encountering complex concepts. Writing by hand can further enhance information retention as you grapple with new ideas. Additionally, revisit your notes regularly to refresh your memory and identify areas that require further practice. Remember, practice leads to mastery! Here are some ways to integrate practice into your low-code learning: • Build small projects: Start with simple applications that allow you to experiment with different functionalities. Gradually increase the complexity as your skills grow. • Challenge yourself: Don't shy away from problems that seem daunting at first. Break them down into smaller, manageable tasks, and celebrate each step towards the solution. • Participate in online communities: Engage with other low-code developers, share your projects, and seek feedback. This collaborative learning environment provides valuable insights and opportunities to test your skills. What are your favorite ways to practice and study low-code development? Share your experiences and tips in the comments below! #lowcode #mendix #learning #practice #skills

Day 3, #20DaysinPDWithAA My post keep coming in later than I plan every single day. However, it’s better late than never! In the GIT WEEK 1, I learnt a bit about the Design thinking process, an iterative process that is used in an ongoing experiment until the solution is found. It is an iterative process means that it is a nonlinear process and does not follow a single pattern all the time and it’s performed continuously. The design thinking process is highly user-centric and there are steps to it.; 1. Emphasize; This is the starting point of design thinking, it’s putting yourself in the user's shoes and feeling what they feel. 2. Define; Identify and define the user's problems 3. Ideate; Look for solutions everywhere then pick the best solution 4. Prototype; An example of what the final product should look like, by this stage, you should have a tangible product 5. Test; Putting the product out to get feedback from the users. In the GIT Bootcamp however, I didn't just learn the theoretical part of this, with practical assignments from my tutor, Nelly Adegoke, I had to prepare a presentation with Google slides, which wasn't easy because I wasn't familiar with the tool, in the presentation, I had to look for users pain point using a particular product and come up with ideas to improve it. At week 1, I was already feeling like a professional designer😅, GIT 7.0 Bootcamp is the best place to be really because you're not just hearing a load of words but you also get to put it into practice. Thank you Dr. Aanu Gopald and Africa Agility Foundation for putting together such an amazing curriculum!😁 #20DaysInPDWithAA #GIT20DayChallenge #AfricaAgility #GITBootcampCohort #AfricanGirlsInTechBootcamo #GITBootcampC7Challenge
