As case management develops further in 2025, we’re making it our mission to demonstrate the positive impact it can have on a person’s life following a life-changing injury. We’ve enlisted the help of some of our experts to share what case management means to them, starting with Rehabilitation Case Manager, Michelle Purvis: “To me, Case Management is… Making a positive difference to people’s lives following a life-changing accident or trauma. This is partly possible due to the work/life balance the role provides. I work as an Associate Case Manager at Corporé and I have always been amazed at how measured the work/life balance is in my role. Yes, we are working with people who have suffered terrible accidents, and it can be distressing, but there is so much support surrounding you as a Case Manager that you feel strong and confident enough to source and coordinate the best possible care for each of your clients. We’re also provided essential training to develop our knowledge, making us better Case Managers able to achieve optimum outcomes for injured clients. This puts us in the best possible mindset to be able to support our clients effectively. This is essential since as a Case Manager, you are at the centre of an individual’s rehabilitation. You are coordinating rehabilitation, ensuring everything happens at the right time and considering any barriers to optimum recovery. Therefore, you need to be able to make independent, relevant and timely decisions that benefit the client at every stage of rehabilitation, requiring a clear mind, developed understanding and excellent dedication to every case. There are many skills needed as a Case Manager, but in particular, you must be organised and an effective communicator. That’s because we must collaborate with so many different people within the case management process. It’s not just about liaising with the injured client, but also legal teams, insurers and other clinicians, building up an excellent toolbox of resources to achieve the best possible outcomes for a personal injury case. Then, using excellent knowledge developed from years of clinical experience, we’re able to develop the best possible rehabilitation plan for each of our injured clients. I feel very trusted as a Case Manager working with Corporé. I know that my decisions in each case are trusted and respected, but I also know that there is available support whenever I need to ask a question or get an opinion about a case. With this support, my developed knowledge and excellent relationships in case management, I know I can make a difference in a client’s rehabilitation.” Discover more about effective communicator, Michelle Purvis, here: https://lnkd.in/eVaE4UbE #TogetherWereBetter

At CHU Assess, it's not all about me wearing a hat and looking pretty. We also do things like creating an environment where people can grow their skills by resolving challenging and technical claims with support, autonomy and ownership within a flexible work life balance arrangement. Look around, there's a fair bit of Strata going on. Our valued clients tell us we are at the leading edge of service in our market. Yet we are far from done. We listen to our people and are in a constant adaptive environment to deliver for our staff and clients. Do we always hit the mark? Of cause not, but we own our learnings. We perform a survey every month amongst the team to track engagement and many aspects to identify areas to improve . We receive anonymous comments. Here are some lovely ones.. "Our team often goes to one another for opinion and questions and the responses are always respectful" "yes, I can discuss my family priorities with my team leader and they are understanding and caring about them" "My Team Lead has an innate ability to be professional with their instructions whilst still having fun. They are able to communicate areas of improvement kindly and work with me to discuss those." "CHU Assess is a family full of understanding and support" "It's awesome and I tell everyone how awesome it is." "wouldn't even think about another job" We have two roles open in Vic. Others will tell you they know strata. I think they know where it has been. We know where it is going. Hop in, we can show you.
