National Heritage Week 2024 kicks off today and TII is delighted to be involved once again! TII’s archaeological and heritage works will feature in a number of Heritage Week events. TII Archaeologists will also host and participate in events. We’re starting the week with an exciting programme of events, with the first TII talk taking place in Cork today. Ken Hanley, TII Archaeologist, will be presenting The Importance of Quality: How Transport Infrastructure Ireland engages with the commercial archaeology sector. #HeritageWeek2024 has several events where the results of Transport Infrastructure Ireland archaeological and heritage works are being featured, as well as events where TII Archaeologists will be presenting papers. A full list of events can be found here (https://lnkd.in/ec9EcN-X), but we would like to draw particular attention to their annual Heritage week seminar "Connections and Reflections in the RIA" on the 22nd August. A full list of speakers have now been announced which includes Rob Goodbody, John Channing, Dr Eve Jennifer Campbell , Dr Kerri Cleary, Dr John O'Neill, Dr Ros Ó Maoldúin PhD MIAI, Tony Bartlett, Dr Ben Spillane, James McKee and Jess White.
