Did you know the way you store your dog or cat's kibble could seriously harm them? ⚠️ Proper kibble storage is absolutely crucial but most people unfortunately get it wrong, leaving their pets open to serious illness. Here's what to do: ❌ Never pour kibble into a plastic tub. Plastic tubs can be filled with chemicals that seep into your pet's kibble. Kibble can also scratch plastic tubs, creating a breeding ground for bacteria and mould! ❌ Never leave kibble exposed to sunlight, this can create moisture, mould, and affect the nutrients in the food. ✅ Use a food grade container that is fully emptied out and cleaned each time you buy a new bag of kibble. Instead of pouring the kibble into it, put the whole bag inside the tub. ✅ Finish a bag of kibble before opening a new one and ever mix old and new food; this will prevent your new food from being contaminated and shortening it's shelf life. ✅ Kibble bags are made to keep the food from deteriorating, and have the batch number printed on them.
