This week we are closing an incredibly productive 2023. I am proud of the many milestones reached by Europe's Rail JU, which is fully on track to deliver upon its promises, that is good. 🚄 Our S2R programme has successfully closed its R&I works, thanks to a remarkable collaboration of talented engineers, researchers and experts all over Europe; and many of those are also fully engaged in the new EU-Rail Integrated R&I programme; 🚄 EU-Rail has largely met its operational and administrative objectives, a particular thanks to our great dedicated and professional JU team; 🚄 and also beyond that, as European, I am proud that the EU reached a deal between the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union on the forward looking proposal from the European Commission on the Trans-European Transport Network regulation revision. https://lnkd.in/eMJxxkgp   We have now a duty to build up on those achievements, valorising but also continuing to further enhance rail as the most sustainable transport mode to effectively respond to the #ClimateChange and the other societal challenges.
