Today I wanted to share my personal 2 key elements that are often overlooked for a successfully planned event. Especially when under time pressure, diving right into it with only the final goal in mind can result in neglecting crucial factors : 1. THE TEAM : with time I have learnt that the people, your team, the professionals you are going to surround yourself with is, I would say, the MOST important decision you will take. The reliability, but not only, working in a friendly atmosphere with a good team spirit will make everything easier. 2. THE DETAILS : I have often seen people keeping the attention to details for last. But details must be thought about, discussed and planned in order to make sure we all have the same vision and that production day will unfold as smoothly as possible. It was the first Annual Tour I missed in 20+ years after being attacked and assaulted at an offsite CGI event and fired. It is disturbing that my assailant lied and got others to lie about what happened. I invested in CGIers, moved four times to support CGI’s business, and worked hard to be my best self and a leader who could inspire others. My mistake was requesting William LaBar improve his behavior (I also reported him to HR, but his name was kept out of the report—it seems he and Anne Sullivan partnered up for several questionable activities), as I had witnessed him treating Diane Potter disrespectfully for more than seven years. Diane never wanted to confront him because Will is known for his “strategic” hiring/firing, but I categorize it as sketchy at best. He plays favorites, micromanages, and eviscerates people with surgical precision. And most importantly, “legally.” Here's my story: https://lnkd.in/ewSUfckY I have been diagnosed with PTSD from the attack I endured at CGI's Mardi Gras Ball. I avoid situations/celebrations/events where there is drinking, or I leave early before people get intoxicated/drunk. I don't like to dance anymore. CGI is a good company, but the leadership in Lafayette, LA, lacks ethics and integrity and should be put on an improvement plan. All four people in CGI CSG leadership in Lafayette—Diane Potter, Meredith Meyers, Ryan LeMaire, and Mary “Angela” Fontenot—were gone within six months. I do not think it was a coincidence.
