👟 Inspiration for the day 👟 I’m a big fan of walking meetings. I’m a big fan of walking. I’m not the type of guy that has poles and a camelbak and proper hiking shoes, but through the town. Listening to the town wake up and burst into life. It’s healthy for the body and the mind. Really gets my thoughts racing. I wanted to share my experience of LinkedIn with you. Here it is. Watch to the end for the wisdom I read off of my calendar today! #whisky #whiskey #scotch #singlemalt #whiskylover #whiskygram #scotchwhisky #quercuscaledonia #Scotland #Business #Meeting #Meetings #BusinessDevelopment

First golf competition yesterday placed 22nd out of 132. Golf is the perfect way to unwind from the stress of work. Work can be demanding—deadlines, meetings, and emails piling up. When the pressure builds, I’ve found that stepping onto the golf course is my favorite way to decompress. There’s something about being outdoors, surrounded by nature, that clears the mind. 🏞️ Whether it’s practicing my swing or just enjoying a quiet walk from hole to hole, golf forces me to slow down, breathe deeply, and refocus. It’s not about the perfect game; it’s about the break from screens, the mental reset, and the calm that comes from focusing on each shot. If you’re feeling overwhelmed at work, maybe it’s time to grab your clubs and hit the greens. Your mind (and productivity) will thank you! 🙌 #Golf #WorkLifeBalance #StressRelief #MentalHealth #Productivity #WellBeing

I help companies get more customers using proven digital marketing and content strategies ⚡Founder & President, Numero Uno Web Solutions Inc.
“Hustle” Every day I see this reminder on my desk. It reminds me to put in the work and to never stop moving. Every day I push to: - to help my customers succeed - to help my employees be their best - to help grow my business I like to leave the office every day knowing that I’ve done everything in my power to do something positive for someone. Does it happen all the time? Heck no! But the next day I’m back at it. I’m always hustling to do my best because it’s not only the least I can do, it’s my obligation to my company, my employees and my customers. #hustling #doingmybest #businessgrowth

Not many people would work the amount of hours I do. I don’t say that as some #humble burn-out brag 🤦🏼♀️ I actually love working. But. Where you channel your energy is where you are successful. An Olympic diver doesn’t become exceptional by chance. The same goes for business. If you put in an average level of effort, you’ll achieve an average level of success. You can’t be envious of something you haven’t worked as hard for. It’s completely ok to not want to work to the extreme - there’s nothing wrong with that. It just means you’ll get different results, so be aware of that when you feel frustrated at other people’s successes.

OutHorse your email is funny (crossed out) serious initiative to handling your email while on vacation with Visit Island: https://lnkd.in/d9w7g_Ti The key problem is how to manage incoming messages in #teams #zoom and other working messengers as well as emails during the vacation and weekends. I know 3 basic strategies which colleagues use: 1. reply to communications instantly, as if they were in working mode; 2. once a day; 3. responding to hundreds of emails and messages on the first day of the vacation while not answering any at all during vacation. I still have to answer which strategy is better? Or any other strategies to manage emails and messages during vacation. How you deal with it, please comment? #Sunday #Sundaytoughts #VacationMode #EmailManagement #WorkLifeBalance #OutOfOffice #ProductivityTips #VacationTips #email

I wrapped up another 5K run with the family last weekend! Running together has become our favorite way to bond. Some of us love the thrill of racing, while others can’t wait for it to be over. But when we get back in the car at the end of it, not one of us has ever said, "I wish we wouldn't have done that." Running with my family got me thinking about my work as a Solution Specialist. 1. Diverse Perspectives: Just like in my family, everyone I work with has different strengths and preferences. Embracing these differences helps us find the best solutions. 2. Team Effort: Whether it’s running a race or solving a problem, teamwork makes all the difference. Supporting each other is key to success. 3. Persistence: Not everyone loves the journey, but we all appreciate the results. Staying committed, even through challenges, leads to rewarding outcomes. 4. Celebrating Success: Crossing the finish line together, no matter how we felt during the run, is a moment of triumph. It’s similar to delivering a successful solution to a client—we celebrate our hard work and collaboration. Sometimes you win a medal and sometimes you don't, but I promise you'll always learn something from both the wins and the losses. #FamilyTime #Running #Teamwork #SolutionSpecialist #PersonalGrowth #WorkLifeBalance

“You don’t need to worry about progressing slowly. You need to worry about climbing the wrong mountain.” James Clear "The average person is running a million miles an hour up the wrong mountain, thanks to hard work. They’re a race horse with blinders on their eyes. If you’re working hard you probably need a sudden pause, followed by a hard reset. Most things work better when you turn them off then on again." Thanks Tim Denning for these wise words. Fed up of climbing the wrong mountain? Not even sure where the mountain is any more? DM me for info on how I can help you not only find the right mountain, but to climb to the top of it. #healthcoach

I am in Vancouver this week, and swung by one day early to go ski at Whistler. And, just like in Vermont, it inspired yet another reflection about the parallels between ski and business, this time about #worklifebalance . "huh?" Yes! Hear me out! When you ski, the terrain keeps on changing. There are places where you can stop - flatter terrain before a steeper incline, say! People do stop there, and in fact they should, for safety reasons. They can give their muscles a break (they can be stored from a lot of recent activity) and also assess what it in front of them, and how to best attack it. Obviously, there are other places where you do NOT want to stop. Places where people incoming won't see you and may collide with you. Steeper inclines where you can fall, and so on. Well, in #sales or #presales it is pretty much the same. You will have rushes, periods of intense activities, trips during which you will burn the midnight oil. It comes with the territory. We wouldn't have it any other way, right? But then, between these periods of intense activities, we ought to take a breather. Take it like this: if I see my team members constantly slammed, as their manager I am not doing my job. This state leads nowhere good, for the individual and the organization. But rushing ever so often? That keeps the blood pumping, wouldn't you say? Just like going down some interesting terrain!
