I appreciate the opportunity to share at the Emerald Science Conference. My presentation will be focused on diving into, what I call, The Golden Metric of Cannabis Cultivation Performance. This is a single metric which contains the units of TIME, YIELD, AREA and ENERGY. When these units are understood and brought together all other production related KPIs fall in line perfectly behind. Making performance - CLEAR. Want to better understand how to compare performance of different systems, at different locations with different cultivation teams, energy costs, labor costs, light levels, scales etc..? Thus having a tool to clearly understand where the low hanging fruit for improvement is and what exactly can be done to drive yields while ensuring quality alongside driving your cost/lb down! See you there! #canna

Travis, this sounds really great. You’ve finally done it, given the world a way to evaluate yields in a meaningful way with a replicable method to compare any two ways of growing regardless of where they are. You’re leaving the relic kilos per bulb or whatever that meaningless master grower term was. I expect nothing less from you. I won’t be at the conference, but if you have a way to post your presentation here I’d love to see it!

This metric sounds too good to be true! Time, Yield, Area, AND Energy, you say? Good work - wish I could be there.
