@Uchenna Ogbuji and to whom it may concern. Un-Healthy Liquidation Process of Heritage Bank . In trying to be professional in the liquidation of Heritage Bank. I am of the view that: The CBN should have adopted what we call Guided liquidation as a way to Manager the liquidation of Heritage Bank other than the way they toed, That should have been the best approach to further strengthen confidence in the financial sector and the confidence the masses reposed on NDIC as a trusted body, having witnessed similar situations in the time past. one will only be left with the following questions: 1.what is the duty of the regulatory bodies in the financial industry? 2. what were the regulatory authorities doing when they saw the rising toxic portfolios of this bank rising profusely? 3. what are the duties of the risk-check, criteria and regulators?. 4. Are there no CBN external audits/ reports being conducted on the Bank periodically to have earlier highlighted this toxic portfolio risks and other irregularities that lead to this mess? 5. why will the innocent depositors still stand some chances of losing some of their hard earned money deposited with the bank? 6. Are there no other professional ways of doing this liquidation to stem the assurances given to customers regarding our acclaimed strong regulatory frame work? May God Help Nigeria.
