Our +shot® sprayed concrete anode operates as an impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) anode. It is installed using a conventional dry and wet spray concrete equipment and finishing tools. It operates as a bonded cover to concrete substrates that have been surface prepared by high pressure water or grit-blasting. LoCem +shot can be used in combination with LoCem shot sprayed concrete as a repair strategy for long-term corrosion protection of structures, such as quaysides, wharves, tunnels, culverts or abutments. Designed to ISO15257:2017 and operated in accordance with ISO12696:2022 it also has proven to be resistant to acids, sulphates and fire to 1200C for over 5 hours. The system solution has Type III independently verified EPD defined at BRE Global operated using AchillesICP network management system and operated remotely online with AiMS. Breaking Concrete! Testing 28-Day Strength of RMC Samples 🚧🔨 There’s something fascinating about watching a concrete cube break under load—it’s the true test of its strength! I recently captured a video of the compressive strength test for an RMC sample after 28 days of curing, showing the moment the cube finally cracks. Why Do We Test at 7, 14, and 28 Days? Concrete gains strength gradually, so we test at key intervals: 📌 After 7 Days of Curing → Should achieve 60-70% of final strength 📌 After 14 Days of Curing → Should reach 75-85% 📌 After 28 Days of Curing → Should hit 100% (Final Strength) How Is It Done? 1️⃣ Concrete cubes (150mm × 150mm × 150mm) are cast & cured. 2️⃣ Placed in a Compression Testing Machine (CTM). 3️⃣ A load is applied until the cube cracks & fails—indicating its compressive strength. The test result of this sample is shown in the video! 📽️ Follow for more #ConcreteTesting #CompressiveStrength #RMC #StructuralEngineering #QualityControl #CivilEngineering
