Trenchless Australasia spoke to Vermeer Corporation about how to find the right horizontal directional drilling tools. “If you’re burning a plate bit up in a couple of weeks to a month, it’s probably not the right choice for your ground conditions,” Vermeer Cutting Edge Product Manager Cody Mecham said. “You need something more durable.” #trenchless #trenchlesstechnology

Link-Belt’s 65|RT delivers power and precision on transmission project The new Link-Belt Cranes 65-ton 65|RT rough terrain crane is already making waves in the construction industry, specifically on an overhead transmission line project in Lexington, Oregon, USA. Spearheaded by Centerline Drilling, the project showcases the 65|RT’s capabilities in handling demanding tasks with ease and precision, the company said. The 65|RT has been integral to setting rebar cages and anchor bolt cages into 17 drilled pier foundations for the project. The cages, varying from 8 feet in diameter and 30 feet long to 11.5 feet in diameter and 35 feet long, weighed as much as 16,000 pounds. “The crane handled the cages flawlessly in every configuration,” said Hunter Magnan, operator for Centerline. Having logged hundreds of hours on the 65|RT, he described it as an excellent entry point to rough terrain cranes and a reliable workhorse for mid-sized projects. Designed for efficiency and comfort, the 65|RT is equipped with advanced features that enhance both performance and usability. Its cab offers LED lighting, a vision package and the intuitive Pulse LMI system, making operations more straightforward and safer. The seamless controls and smooth job site travel have been particularly appreciated by operators, enabling them to navigate challenging terrain with ease. “For anyone in need of a midsize picker with outstanding capacity at radius and unmatched maneuverability, the 65|RT is a do-it-all machine,” added Magnan.Q For more information on the Construction, Mining Equipment and Allied Industries, please reach us at www.equipmenttimes.in Ramamurthy Mayavan Philip Varghese Editor In Chief- EQUIPMENT TIMES #transmission #constructionmachinery #infrastructure #contractor #constructionequipment #construction #manufacturing #equipment #crane #Centerline

Reaching New Heights: Cable Cranes in Action Cable cranes play a crucial role in various industries such as construction, mining, logging, and cargo handling by efficiently transporting heavy loads using cables or ropes. These equipment pieces feature a stationary tower with a cable system and a movable carriage for load transport. The cables enable precise movements of materials and equipment, aiding in lifting, lowering, or horizontal transportation to designated locations. #cablecranes #dams #engineering #construction #civilengineering #technology #civilconstruction #engenhariacivil #engenharia

Are you a construction drilling contractor? Now using an excavator to manipulate your tieback anchors, self drilling anchors, ground anchors, micropiles and or casings? Do you have to install these under an angle? Then the Track ‘n Grab is the perfect tool for you. This unit allows you to deliver from vertical till horizontal. As well from different heights. It grabs from 75mm ( smaller diameters possible with add on option ) till 273 mm / 10,3/4” with a 3,5 ton / 8000 LBS load capacity. Easy changeable racks for quick switching. The unit is hybridly powered allowing to run 8 hours electric or on diesel. The ManipAll250 is remote controlled which allows the driller to handle it himself saving on an excavator operator. Best thing? This unit allows you to set angle - centre and pick up and drop location allowing auto run once set. No more time waste connecting anchor rods. Interested? We have units in stock for sales and rental. Engcon adds ‘entry-level’ small tiltrotator Attachment specialist Engcon has said it has made a “further step forward” with the launch of an “entry-level” customised tiltrotator. The company described the EC02 Basic, which is designed for excavators in the 1.5 to 3 tonne range, as both “affordable and easy to use”, making it an “ideal choice for excavation work that only requires tilt and rotate functionality.” The model offers unlimited rotation and ±40° tilt and works directly with the excavator’s own control system. Engcon said the Basic is a “perfect entry-level” model that offers the same quality as its larger and more advanced models, but in a “streamlined format that is perfect for smaller machines.” The product gives the excavator operator precision combined with unlimited rotation and ±40° tilt, as well as It works directly with the excavator’s own control system, making installation and use easier than ever. With this launch, engcon continues to be the industry leader in tiltrotator technology and end customer needs.– Krister Blomgren, CEO, Engcon, said, “We are very pleased to be able to offer the EC02 Basic to our customers. The market has been asking for a simpler model for the smaller sizes and our goal is to make our products available to everyone, regardless of machine size or budget.” For more information on the Construction, Mining Equipment and Allied Industries, please reach us at www.equipmenttimes.in engcon Ramamurthy Mayavan Philip Varghese Editor In Chief- EQUIPMENT TIMES #technology #constructionmachinery #infrastructure #contractor #constructionequipment #construction #manufacturing #equipment #machine

Foundation drilling rigs are machines used in construction projects, specifically to drill deep holes or shafts into the ground. They create foundations to support and stabilize structures by anchoring them into the earth. Torque must be monitored and tested on the drill bit to ensure its functionality, but also for safety- especially in tough ground conditions. https://lnkd.in/gADuTF2E #LoadCells #FoundationDrilling #Construction

Horizontal Directional Drilling: A precision-driven, trenchless solution for installing underground utilities with minimal surface disruption. Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is a trenchless technology used to install underground pipes, conduits, or cables along a predetermined path. It involves drilling a horizontal borehole beneath the surface using a steerable drill bit. The method minimizes surface disruption, making it ideal for installing utilities under roads, rivers, or environmentally sensitive areas. The process consists of three stages: pilot hole drilling, hole enlargement (reaming), and pulling the pipe or conduit into place. HDD is widely used in the construction and utility industries due to its efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and ability to navigate around obstacles without excavation. video rights : Respective owners DM for removal/credits #hdd #microtunnelling #engineering #construction #civilengineering #civilconstruction #engenharia #engenhariacivil
