Abstract: High-frequency antenna systems integrate RF electronics with antennas (e.g. phased arrays, antenna-on-chip, antenna-in-package). Therefore, the only way to characterize these systems is over-the-air, which requires new types of testing methods. In this talk, we detail the newest over-the-air measurement techniques for metrics such as noise figure, out-of-band emissions, radiated power spectrum, and field distribution in advanced, highly integrated devices. Our paper "Identification of entropy waves in a partially premixed combustor", which Alexander Eder presented last week at the Combustion Symposium, just come online in PROCI (DOI 10.1016/j.proci.2024.105609). At the Symposium in Milano, we've had interesting discussions on SISO vs. MISO model structure for partially premixed non-/compact flames with soft/stiff fuel injection. In this context, the discussion in our recent CNF paper by Garcia et al (10.1016/j.combustflame.2024.113595) is relevant. Have a look at Fig. 20! We do not cite that article in the PROCI paper, because it was accepted for publication only recently.

📢 Excited to announce that our recent paper titled "Simulation of fuel cell membrane durability under vehicle operation" has been published in the Journal of Power Sources. 🔬 Summary: In this study, we developed a statistical model for fuel cell membrane durability and validated it rigorously using in-house experimental results on mechanical and chemical degradation modes. Then, the model was coupled to a vehicle model to predict membrane lifetime during a real-world transit bus operation in Victoria, B.C., Canada. 💡 Key findings: Reducing the stack size and temperature was observed to enhance the stack lifetime, meeting the US DOE target, provided that the system power demand is satisfied. The low temperature does not significantly compromise the performance.
