We're incredibly proud of our very own Steven Bugbee from Tri City Rentals, who recently completed a 24-hour bike ride in support of the American Heart Association! Starting at 6 am on Saturday and riding through to 6 am on Sunday, Steven streamed his journey live on Facebook, raising awareness and funds for AHA's 100th year. But that's not all! After his 24-hour ride, he led the Sara Lee Run/Walk for Women event in Albany and is now preparing for the epic "Racing Across The East" – a 640-mile challenge in 63 hours or less, continuing his mission to support heart health. Steven's dedication to health and fitness is truly inspiring, and we are honored to have him carry the Tri City Rentals banner as he promotes a healthy lifestyle. Join us in congratulating Steven and supporting his incredible efforts! 👏❤️ #TriCityRentals #AmericanHeartAssociation #HeartHealth #Inspiration #CommunitySupport #HealthAndFitness

San Diego Gives kicked off last week and the Kim Center and I are thrilled to be a part of this transformative campaign. As a proud board member of the Kim Center, I would like you to take time and consider supporting the Kim Center's work to remove barriers within the workplace and empower employers to create a culture where all workers have fair access to opportunities to thrive and succeed. To do this, we conducted groundbreaking research specific to San Diego. We now know that the top three barriers for San Diego workers to succeed are lack of childcare (30% are thinking of leaving their job because they lack employer support), sexual harassment (32% experience this at work), and the limited economic power of small businesses (39% of all San Diego businesses are women-owned but they can only contribute 10% of the region’s hiring capacity and annual revenue. In addition, we formed the powerful LEAPS San Diego Alliance to tackle these issues head on by creating a targeted LEAPS Playbook of roadmaps, toolkits, and best practices for employers of diverse sizes and industries. We recognize that there is still much work to be done, and we need your support to continue making a meaningful impact. Our goal for San Diego Gives is to raise $5,000 to support the critical work of San Diego’s LEAPS Alliance. With your help, we can empower employees and advocate for fair opportunities in all work environments. You can make a donation by clicking here or visiting https://lnkd.in/ghEPsTiB. Your support is not just a donation; it's an investment in a brighter future for all San Diegans and our children.

This time last year, I was wrapping up my time at my former job. Amidst change and, in some cases, despair, I found fertile ground to think more expansively about my freedom dreams and the world I intended to be a part of. Today, I am proud to announce that we have signed the lease for The Clearing DC, the heartbeat of the LifeWell Ecosystem. Our center is innovating community. Not only are we the first to offer daily yoga classes in Union Market DC (with 19 classes a week), but once fully operational, we will provide over 30 hours of coworking space at our innovation station. Additionally, we will have a community pantry, clothing and hygiene product closet, and a library. From community lectures to curated galleries by emerging artists, The Clearing is at the forefront of justice-oriented innovation and practice—a place where all people can be and become. We launched our capital campaign last Thursday and have already raised $800. Our goal is to raise $10,000 by September 1st to ensure we start off on the right foot and keep our services as accessible as possible. We are asking folks to donate $40.00—the average cost of four weeks of Sunday Soul Flow with BFWC (our first consistent offering). Here’s what your donations will go towards: - Covering rent for at least 6 months (allowing us to keep services as low-cost as possible) - Supporting the building and maintenance of the community pantry, library, and clothing and hygiene closet - Purchasing furniture for community programming - Subsidizing yoga teacher/wellness training for BIPOC folks - Covering membership/usage fees for young people in the community - Supporting local artists by covering art supplies and gallery fees - Funding local activations and programs With a small investment, we can make a significant impact! Additionally, please follow us on social media (theclearingdc)and sign up for our newsletter: https://lnkd.in/e3vmKVWY Join us in making this vision a reality! #CommunityInnovation #LifeWellEcosystem #TheClearingDC

The New Jersey Extra Life Guild kicked off its 2024 campaign by gathering at Children's Specialized Hospital to celebrate raising $118,798 in 2023! 🎉 📈 It was a tough fundraising year for a lot of folks, so it makes the fact that we raised 13% more than the previous year even more significant. Some of the secrets to our success: 👉 Clear goal: CSH helps treat ~35k patients in the state of New Jersey. Our goal is to be able to help fund the treatment for 50k patients. 👉 Recruitment: The guild had over 125 active participants in 2023, meaning that the average raised per member was around $1,000. I know a lot of orgs are competing for the biggest streamers, and I'm not saying they shouldn't seek out those relationships - it's great if they can work out, but the core of p2p fundraising in this world are communities like ours. 👉 Leadership: Under the guidance of the indomitable Jill Butterfield, CSH has formed the New Jersey Extra Life Guild Advisory Committee, which I am happy to say, I am also a part of. The committee is charged with driving the expansion of recruitment efforts and for finding new avenues of fundraising revenue. Each Advisory Committee member has between 4-13 years of experience in Extra Life, and will be sharing our best practices within our guild's Discord. If you're an org looking to build a community of fundraisers, my hope is that this gives you some ideas. If you're a company that feels like they'd be a good partner for CSH, please reach out to Jill. (you can feel free to contact me, but I'll just send you to Jill 😅) #extralife #fundraising

#TuesdayTips - Successful major gift officers are known for their decisive nature. However, they do not let their ego come in the way of making and evaluating decisions in the best interest of potential major gift donors and their respective organizations. They are always ready to take corrective action when the current major gift approach is no longer effective, maintain an open mind to change, and continuously review the direction they are taking. #majorgifts #philanthropy #fundraising #healthgiving #healthphilanthropy

Did you know that the simple act of moving can be transformed into a powerful tool for community support? This isn't just about relocating items from point A to B. It's about moving hearts, inspiring change, and creating a ripple effect of generosity in our communities. Our recent participation in the #BrokersforKids event at Scottsdale Stadium, put on by Saguaros Children's Charities, wasn't just another day at work for us at M3 Commercial Moving & Logistics. It was a testament to our commitment to going beyond the call of duty. A single truck stood proudly among those who share our vision of giving back. In over two decades in the moving industry, I've seen firsthand the evolution from mere logistics to becoming a cornerstone of community support. From my early days moving boxes, to leading a team that sets trends in workplace solutions, the journey has been nothing short of inspirational to me. At M3, we're not just movers; most importantly, we're community supporters. The M3 Cares initiative is a prime example of how we leverage our resources and network to make a tangible difference. Events like Brokers for Kids allow us to extend our reach, touching more lives, and fostering a culture of giving back. This approach has not only set us apart in the moving and workplace solutions industry but has also ingrained a deep sense of purpose in everything we do. Our trucks do more than move office furniture; they carry hope, support, and the promise of a better tomorrow. I invite you to share your thoughts on how businesses can play a pivotal role in supporting their communities. What initiatives have you seen or been a part of that made a real difference? Let's inspire each other with stories of generosity and impact. If this message resonates with you, please like, comment with your experiences, and repost to spread the word. #CommunitySupport #MovingIndustry #M3Cares #teamm3 #mmmfamily #leadership #b4k #abc
