Today, I had the chance of attending the 1st year I-X open day event held by I-X , and it was a fantastic experience. As someone with a keen interest in advanced data analytics in the process industry, the event provided invaluable insights even though my background isn't directly in Computing/Mathematics or Robotics. The day was filled with enlightening activities, from discussing and understanding the multifaceted challenges of AGI—technically, financially, academically, and socially—to exploring practical AI applications in various fields, including pharmaceutical, filming and versatile robots. I-X stands out as a trial platform that bridges theoretical research and industrial applications, fostering innovation and encouraging startups in the AI domain. One highlight for me was the poster session, where fascinating research on using AI for achieving zero pollution and promoting sustainable energy transitions was showcased. This aligns perfectly with my interests, and it was inspiring to see the cutting-edge work being done in these areas. The event was a great opportunity to catch up with the state-of-the-art both theoretically and practically. It's events like these that fuel my passion for continuous learning and practice in the field of AI and data analytics. Thanks to I-X for organizing such an impactful event!
