Are you up to date with the latest changes from the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER)? Bulletin 2024-17 has introduced key updates that impact how facility life-cycle statuses are determined and reported within the OneStop liability assessment report. Here’s what you need to know: ☑ Update on Unknown Facility Statuses: Facilities with an "unknown" Authorization Life-Cycle Status are now considered inactive and will be included in assessed inactive liability. ☑ Changing Facility Life-Cycle Priority Logic: The AER has corrected misclassifications where active facilities were incorrectly marked as inactive. Now, if any linked Petrinex ID (excluding gathering systems) shows activity, the entire facility is classified as active. ☑ Publishing Facility Life-Cycle Logic: To enhance transparency, the AER will publish a Facility Life-Cycle Logic Chart. This chart, outlining the process for determining facility life-cycle status, will be available in the OneStop liability assessment report starting the week of July 8. AER Alert: their page is having some technical difficulties today.

Get those last minute reports pulled and submissions in. The AER OneStop system is going down at 3:00pm today in preparation for some new changes.

Starting this year 2024, all organizations listed on a Canadian stock exchange, or private companies that meet two of the following three criteria for at least one of its two most recent financial years, must file a Report by May 31 each year: ✅ $20 million or more in assets ✅ $40 million or more in revenue ✅ 250 or more employees Failing to comply can result in fines up to $250,000.
