It's time for year end #EmployeeReviews and #CareerConversations. I think it would be wise for management and employers to keep this in mind. Not only does it come down to the same amount of money, but your company will go without the excellent service it had until you find someone with similar skills. Your team's morale will also suffer because they will see the company would rather hire new people than invest on the talent they already have by promoting or increasing their pay. #MonarchTalentSolutions

Helping HR Leaders in SMEs to reduce attrition and avoid having to spend their precious budget on replacing staff ⁎ data-driven strategy ⁎ engagement ⁎ surveys ⁎ emotional culture
If you're just starting to get challenged by staff retention, then here are 5 ideas… * find out why people are leaving * ask them early (when they resign, NOT on the day they are leaving) * ask open questions * don’t try and pigeonhole them into "career progression" or "salary concerns" buckets * work out how much it really costs to find a replacement member of staff It could be around 50% of a Year 1 salary... Message below if you are having this headache and want someone (= me 😉) to help you out. #employeeexperience #employeeengagement #culture

There needs to be a "Worker's Rights" Renaissance. There's way too many friends and colleagues in full time jobs who work excessively beyond what "Full Time" implies. It's not their fault, it's the employer. Employers - Some solutions to treat your people kinder: 👨💻Heavy work week? Reward them with extra vacation days or a lax subsequent week. 💰Don't be cheap - HIRE MORE PEOPLE ⚠️If you're struggling to profit, it may just be that the what you provide (or your approach) isn't fiscally viable. This one may be hard to hear, but needed to be said. Rethink your strategy - Longer hours isn't the solution. 🤑Don't be greedy - Self explanatory *Full Time doesn't mean ALL THE TIME*

A headline in an email today caught my attention 'Half of workers have considered or taken a quiet vacation' prompting me to think what is a quiet vacation? The world of HR is great for coining expressions and phrases there seems to have a huge growth in it in recent years - quiet quitting, loud quitting, the great resignation, presenteeism .. I could go on and on and on. I'm interested to know what your favourite (or most disliked) HR phrases are of recent times? #HRterms #hrcatchphrases #quietvacation #quietquitting #loudquitting #thegreatresignation

CAR, STAR, CARL, SOART It's an alphabet soup kind of game. But no matter which letter mashup you use, you’ll get to the heart of what you bring to the table. What am I talking about? 🔍 Putting a magnifying glass to your career impact for your resume. If you’re unsure how you uniquely contribute to your workplace, consider 3 questions to distill your achievements and articulate your competitive edge: - How do I make the company better, stronger, more competitive, efficient or profitable? -What ideas have I come up with and what was the impact? -How do I benefit others? Still with me? OK, think of a proud work moment (or success). Break it down using the C.A.R. method. Here's an HR Generalist example: 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 > Inefficient employee files. 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 > In 60 days, created new employee files and updated HR system for tracking vacation, FMLA and benefits. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭 > Improved HR tracking system and eliminated inefficiencies for 375 employee files. ↻ Translate your win to your resume by leading with your results: • Created 375 new employee files within 60 days, eliminating HR inefficiencies in attendance, vacation, benefits and FMLA tracking. What's your secret to getting at (and sharing) your career impact?

Completely agree with this! It's essential for organizations to invest in their people by rewarding hard work, recognizing achievements, and offering support when needed. Training should be viewed as a way to uplift underperforming employees, not punish them. Moreover, respecting boundaries by not contacting employees after hours promotes a healthier work-life balance. When companies value their employees' time and efforts, they foster loyalty, higher productivity, and a positive workplace culture. A thriving workforce ultimately drives a thriving business.
