Careers earning up to $175,000/year with no college degree requirement. In America, a college education is often seen as the standard path to the middle class. However, trades and apprenticeship programs offer lucrative opportunities, with some roles paying more than many college graduates make. Careers like HVAC Maintenance and Repair, Electrician, Mechanic, Plumber, Elevator Technician, Dental Hygienist, and more provide on-the-job learning experiences and financial stability without the burden of student debt. For those interested in exploring apprenticeship options for themselves or their children, www.apprenticeship.gov is a valuable resource. It connects young adults to apprenticeship programs in various fields, offering a pathway to successful careers without the need for a traditional college degree.

Story Time! 📖 The best summer job I ever had was when my friend and I decided to start a landscaping company to mow lawns and do some small yard projects. Quality Landscaping was our name (I know, very original). We were having a hard time finding people to hire us (this might have been because we rolled around town in a white 1985 Monte Carlo with a lawnmower tied down in the trunk). Then somehow, we landed a real job – to completely re-landscape a yard, including building a wall. And the best part? They offered to pay us several thousand dollars, which at the time (in the 90s) was a LOT of money. We quickly realized we were over our heads. The first sign was when the dump truck came to drop off the mulch. We figured it had a few stops to make. Nope. It dropped off the entire truck which was waaay too much. I think some parts of the yard had about two feet of mulch… It was also more work than we could complete in the timeframe we gave them. So we had to hire two of our friends to help get things done. Then of course we realized that we had no way to transport or dispose of all the yard waste, bushes, and branches, other than pack it into the Monte Carlo. Then (and I still can’t believe our luck) the town was doing tree work on the street that day and they had a woodchipper with them. Through some miracle, these guys let a couple of teenagers get rid of all of the waste we had in their woodchipper! The yard actually turned out really great and the clients were happy. I still don’t know how we pulled it off. After that, we did a couple of small jobs but it didn’t really matter since we made more money on that one job that we expected to make all summer! What summer job stories do you have? #leadership #lessons #summer #reflection

THE STREET RANGE - A FIELD FIRING AREA 👉 The Street Range isn't so much of a "range" as it is a "field firing area", which allows for individual and multiple firer/team, live fire exercises, up to and including, teams of 8. 👉 We work off a safety staff to firer ratio of 1:2 👉 However, all the safety staff that we use, require MORE than a 1-day, on-line, NRA RSO qualification; they require an in-depth understanding of tactics AND safety, and they must be experienced in managing multiple firers, during fast moving, live fire exercises. 👉 Safety staff are exactly that - "safety" staff, they do not interfere with the firers tactics; their only function is safety - so you won't see any of our safety staff, hanging off the shoulder of the firers, or with a hand on the firers hip or shoulder - that's interference, and will devalue the training. 👉 Our safety staff know when they need to be close to a firer and when to step back, and they know this because of range rehearsals, walk-through-talk-throughs, range briefs and, more importantly, their experience. 👉 On a flat, static range, safety staff can simply stand in one spot, and observe. On this Street Range, they cannot - they need to be on their toes constantly, moving with the firer, understanding what firer they should be with at any given time and making sure that they do not impede the firers "tactical movement", and THOSE safety staff are hard to come by. 👉 The training that can be done on the Street Range is insane - it doesn't really get anymore realistic than this, and the training value is unquantifiable. 👉 This is not a "beginners" range; so don't expect to go full tonto, when you come on - to get the full training value of what this range can provide you with, and how it can increase and improve your "tactical" brain, thought process, and decision making (as well as your tactics), we train you progressively; we build you up, adding in additional elements as you progress. 👉 Comfort zones are not welcome on this field firing range. ✅ All of our STREET SCENE SYSTEM OF TRAINING (SSST) courses, are on our website at www.gonoisy.com ✅ The Street Range is also available for use, by law enforcement, military, and outside training providers. ✅ The range is also suitable for VEH Ops and HELO Ops, as a means of insertion/extraction, and can be used at night. ✅ For enquiries, please get in touch with Neil Davis at training@gonoisy.com or call the office on 239-374-8754.
