Everyone lies on their CV's......Don't they? Errr No! But some do with devastating consequences. Asked to comment recently on what the impact was of embellished and/or false claims on CVs and job applications, and whether anything can be done to combat it, 2 specific examples came to mind; 1. This heinous crime that I have first-hand knowledge of, and, 2. The despicable conduct of the recently disgraced Chief Constable, Nick Adderley, the commander at the time 2 dear colleagues were murdered in Manchester. As for anything that can be done to combat it? Yes! Ask the difficult questions in addition to those scripted for job interviews. Expose lies and 'theft of experience'! Guess it's all about appetite for the truth? The team at Intersol Global can support you and help prevent such catastrophe - but only if you have the appetite for truth and exposing charlatans!

Do you work in the residential aged care sector or do you have a family member who.lives in a residential aged care home (nursing home)? if so would you volunteer to participate in research into missed care? Vida KardanMoghaddam is investigating Missed Care in Residential Aged in Australia. Missed nursing care is a deviation of omitted care, meaning that the care will not be done at all (errors of omission) or that it can be done but in an incorrect way (error of commission) (Kalisch et al., 2009), and ought to be seen as medical error (Jones et al., 2015). The more we understand the causes and effects of missed care, the safer and happier aged care recipients and their families will be. Please consider participating in this important research while also helping Vida who is one of my PhD candidates. For more information and to express interest in participating please click on this link: https://lnkd.in/gYDDHHkq

THE SCHOOL NURSE I have come across interesting questions surrounding my line of work. Who is a school nurse? What is her/his role? Are they only employed to provide first aid? Is it a career for a young Nurse aspiriring for more? Well I am here to address these questions in detail. Firstly, a School Nurse in simple term, would be a professional who is there to make sure that every student has access to mental and physical health services thoughout the day(https://lnkd.in/d398ant9) The purpose of a school nurse is to plan,Implement, coordinate and evaluate school health services that maximize quality of in-class time by reducing the incidence of health related absenteeism. A school nurse’s goal is to promote health by eliminating health problems that would impair learning to achieve the highest degree of independent functioning possible such as injuries and other minor ailments. The school nurse has to work with teachers as well as parents/guardians to create individual care plans including medication management when needed. Responsibilities of a School Nurse 1. Developing health plans for students needing medical attention during school hours 2. Updating student medical history to promote safety from possible spread of communicable diseases 3. Educating students and staff on healthy habits such as proper nutrition and hygiene 4. Write referrals for pediatricians and other health specialists when major problems have been detected 5. Ensuring compliance with national and local health laws 6. Detecting early problems in early stages through regular screening eg. hearing, visual screening 7. Keeping track of student vaccination records 8. Administration of medication School Nursing has a wide range of activities attached to it and its a fulfilling job. I believe that as a health promoter I carry a big responsibility ensuring health safety in a nation through an educational setting. It is in this setting that we grow to learn the importance of caring for a child’s welbeing more each day. We start small to change the world and yes i would 10/10 recommend exploring this career interest to any young aspiring Child nurse specialist. Worth it!
