🔌 The Power of Site Servicing: When it comes to selecting or developing a site—whether it’s a small-scale multi-unit project on a single-family lot or a larger development—the availability and capacity of site services like Electrical, Natural Gas, and Municipal Water/Sewer/Storm can make or break your project. Here's why site servicing should be a top priority: 🔹 Utility Capacity: The existing infrastructure (like electrical and natural gas supply) needs to support the additional load of a 4-6 unit development. Upgrading these can be costly and time-consuming, so understanding utility capacity upfront is crucial. 🔹 Water, Sewer, and Storm Connections: Increasing the density on a single-family lot means ensuring the municipal services can handle the higher demand. If these connections are undersized or upgrades are needed, it can significantly impact project feasibility. 🔹 Transit Access: Proximity to public transit is a game-changer. Not only does it increase the appeal of your project to future residents, but under new BC legislation, it can influence zoning allowances and increase development potential on your site. The Bottom Line? Evaluating site servicing early in your project planning can help avoid surprises, keep costs under control, and ultimately ensure a smooth path to project success. At Waters Development Management, we help assess all aspects of site viability to set your development up for success from day one. #SiteServicing #DevelopmentPlanning #MultiUnitHousing #SingleFamily #Developments #Hydro #Electrical #Storm #Sewer #Water #Transit #Access #Utility #Capacity #Municipal #BC #ResidentialDensity #DevelopmentManagement #HousingLegislation #SSMUH #Townhomes #ApartmentBuilding #duplex #triplex #ResidentialDevelopment #MultiFamily #ResidentialBC #RealEstateDevelopment #CityPlanning

MAJOR WATER PROJECTS IN VICTORIA: Tenders Now Open for Regional Pipeline and Pump Station Upgrades 💧💧 Victoria is seeing advancements in its water infrastructure, with two significant projects now open for tender. Both are crucial for improving water management and ensuring sustainable solutions across regional areas. 🔹 South Gippsland Pipeline Renewal Project South Gippsland Water has launched a tender for the Middle Tarwin Pipeline Renewal project. This involves the installation of over 4km of effluent discharge pipeline, utilising a mix of open-cut and trenchless construction methods. 🔹 Grampians Region Pump Station Upgrade Simultaneously, Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water Corporation (GWMWater) is spearheading a major upgrade of the Apsley Pump Station. This project will replace deteriorating infrastructure with new water storage tanks and a booster pump station, integrating solar and battery power as a separate initiative. The project is designed to enhance water distribution and efficiency for communities in the Wimmera and Mallee regions. Both projects reflect Victoria’s commitment to upgrading its water and wastewater systems, with tenders now open for qualified contractors to get involved in shaping the future of water infrastructure. #Infrastructure #WaterProjects #Tenders #CivilEngineering #Sustainability #Victoria #ConstructionUpdates #Pipeline #WaterStorage #construction #pipeline #pumpstation #melboourne #solar #batterypower #renewable
