The recent terrorist attacks conducted by Israel on #Lebanon continues to be inhumane and intolerable. Israel's policies, since its creation, had not only been based on genocidal, western hegemony but it has deliberately and intentionally created hundreds of thousands of people with disabilities for the sole purpose of mass mutilation (mass extinction) of an entire nation. Particularly, the Arab people, whether they are Muslims, Christians or Jews. It is perfectly clear, and has always been clear, that Israel has been using #disability as a weapon of war. A way to "kill off" or "mow the lawn" through their military law and occupation. The creation and maintence of Israel's military and its' occupation of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, as well as Jordan and Egypt, have been fully supported and funded by our own US tax dollars and resources. The sole purpose of Israel's military occupation is to disabled as many people as possible that will eventually lead to slow mutilation, as long as Israel is allowed to deprive millions of Palestinians from food, water, electricity, medicine and disability-related devices. Once again, for all disabled leaders who have remain silent and those who continue to ignore what is happening, the longer you wait to speak up, the more you will eventually lose your credibility. Your respectability. And your legacy. Judy Heumann, an incredible disability activist whom I personally looked up to, has done little-to-nothing for disabled people in the Arab world. Yet, I continue to read the so-called "one billion lives" she has impacted. The irony of all of this is disabled leaders will speak up from a humanatarian standpoint. Not political, not social, not economic. But, from a charity standpoin. After decades of combatting attitudinal barriers and viewing disabled people from a "chairty point of view," we have been seeing those same disabled leaders projecting the charity model on disabled people in the Middle East. If our disabled leaders of today do not check their privilege, they will be the ones who will be moving the disability movement backwards. So, if there is anything to take away from this post, it is that, as one community, as one powerful disability nation, let us all be stronger, together. https://lnkd.in/ghA8myne

It’s never too late to start talking about Palestine. Please never stop. It’s never too late to start masking and taking health precautions again. Please help make this world more inclusive for disabled people. It’s never too late to connect to anti racist movements and work on dismantling your own racism and anti Blackness. Please do this work in your community. It’s never too late to start fight for trans folks, especially trans and gender expansive youth. Please scream from the rooftops. It’s never too late to realize the harm police and military systems cause, and to advocate against them. It’s never to late to support unionizing and commit to working class solidarity. It’s never too late to be accountable for past harm you’ve done. It’s never too late to be doing work for justice.

Just when we think it can't get any more devastating, we see Israeli & American troops collude through a Trojan Horse "operation" that deemed massacring almost 300 (and 700+ wounded) Palestinians as a means to rescuing 4 Israeli hostages. I would say this is inconceivable, but the Zionist regime has no limits to the devastation it will inflict on Palestinian bodies. For the Zionists out there: What does it mean for you to prioritize your own safety at the expense of another person's safety? What does it mean to say that your child's life matters more than a Palestinian's? What does it mean to defend a country that has wrought absolute terror upon civilians for decades, after forcibly displacing them? How can you claim barbarism among Palestinians, when the IOF ("IDF") bombs homes, playgrounds, schools, hospitals, aid workers, starves families, imprisons and tortures civilians (including children), uses white phosperous, DISGUISES ITSELF AS AID WORKERS TO MURDER CIVILIANS? Do you feel safer as civilian bodies are blown up, maimed, with the ones to "survive" only to face unimaginable trauma that will last for generations? It's important for Premier Ford to know that the words of elected leaders have real world consequences. Legitimizing irrational fears, scapegoating, or spreading unfounded conspiracies about immigrants, or any group, undermines social cohesion and safety. We're one week away from the commemoration of the #OurLondonFamily terrorist attack that killed four Canadians. Dangerous narratives informed the terrorist's motivation. It's a time of particular anxiety for many Muslims in Ontario & across Canada, especially with rising Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian/anti-Arab racism. We can and should condemn antisemitism and the heinous acts against Jewish schools without fueling further hate and division.
