Paris 2024 Olympics Targeted by Over 140 Cyberattacks🚨 The 2024 Paris Olympics recently faced over 140 cyberattacks, as confirmed by French authorities. In 22 instances, a 'malicious actor' successfully breached the victims' information systems. Fortunately, these attacks did not disrupt any competitions. This serves as a stark reminder of the growing cyber threat landscape, especially in major global events. For context, the Tokyo 2021 Olympics reported around 45 crore cyber operations. As we advance in the digital age, safeguarding critical infrastructures becomes increasingly vital. #Cybersecurity #Paris2024 #Olympics #Infosec #DigitalSecurity #cyberrisk

As our journey in Digital Transformation advances, cyber risk increases rapidly. Denial-of-service attacks can slow down or completely stop business operations once fully digitalized and oriented toward the Digital Economy and e-commerce or e-services. That's why we have to talk and remind everyone that investment in cybersecurity, prevention, and resilience is essential to a bright future for each digital business in the 21st century. This is cybersecurity week, and two unique events are happening in the Western Balkan region. The first is the Digital Forensics Conference in Belgrade, Serbia, and the other is the Cyber Security Summit 2024 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, starting on Thursday. Traveling around to catch up with the community is challenging but worthwhile. Today, I am attending the Digital Forensics Conference 2024, so if anyone is around, let me know, and we can meet and discuss. Thank you, Sanja Miovcic and the Foreign Investors Council Bosnia and Herzegovina - FIC, for the invitation and for partnering with this event. More posts are coming in these days, so stay tuned. #Digitalization #DigitalTransformation #Cybersecurity #DFC2024 #DigitalForensicsConference #Belgrade #Serbia

🇫🇷 The Paris Olympics are coming - and so are the cyberthreats. Securin’s Kiran Chinnagangannagari and Aviral Verma share their insights on some of the threats the organizers are likely to face, including: 🤺 Ransomware: Not just on ticketing systems and venues, but across critical infrastructure such as transport systems and emergency services. 🤺 DDoS: France has already weathered multiple DDoS attacks on French government websites in recent months. Expect more of the same during the Games. 🤺 Third party leverage: An event like the Olympics is essentially one giant supply chain risk to manage and protect. Cyber attackers (be they nation states, hacktivists or criminal gangs) will be probing, testing and looking for any weakness they can exploit.
