A thought to end my week; the power of momentum. Consider the impact on progress and velocity on feature development, team-building or process when changing fundamentals like tech stack, providers or organisational structure. Unless you can be certain (and quantify) that the loss of momentum will be short and temporary across product development, engineering, teams and people, iterating towards your goal rather than starting over has less risk, and allows you to adjust more easily over time.

Relying on theoretical knowledge, that's it? 😅 While there is nothing wrong with it, it would still make more sense to learn it in all the practical ways and that too from great industry leaders. Thanks to Product Faculty for making sure to put this intense 5 week program for a great learning curve and to step into the real market with real insights. 🚀 We are glad that our CEO and co-founder, Prashant Mahajan has been invited as a judge to witness the presentations created by the students. 💕 See you all at Demo day. 😍 #productmanagement #demoday

What does it take to set up product teams for velocity and innovation? A shared vision and ownership. Enter the "Product Trio" 👨👩👧 In the second segment of my conversation with software veteran Ron Lichty we discuss an alternative team model called the “Product Trio” - cross-functional groups that deeply collaborate towards common goals. Another day, another challenge. Has this ever happened to you? You come up with a new tooling idea to streamline workflows across the organization. You, excited, share this idea with the platform engineering team. However, the initial reaction is defensive. They begin questioning its feasibility, pointing out potential flaws, and raising concerns. This defensive stance feels like they're stacking bricks one after another, building a wall labeled 'No.' Have you ever considered that you might also be the one saying no? Read on to discover how embracing a 'Yes-First' mentality can transform your team's dynamics, encourating innovation and collaboration. https://lnkd.in/dMw-84rs 👆👆👆👆👆
