“𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀” Alix Ditisheim, ESG Analyst at our member Phitrust, was elected Vice-President during our Winter meeting. “A network like SfC is crucial to foster engagement initiatives with like-minded European investors” Alix said. “The size of the initiative makes the collaboration between actors easier”. 💪 Regarding Phitrust’s engagement strategy Alix underlined that “governance is a means, environmental and social challenges are objectives. The quality of corporate governance determines a company's ability to effectively manage the transition of its business model, from a development perspective.” 🌱 Corporate governance has become the key lever for taking action on environmental and social issues. For this reason, when dialoguing with a company, Phitrust prefers to meet with the Chairman of the Board or Board members as it is the governance institution in charge of a company’s strategy. “A company with good governance and a Board that listens and values its shareholders will be more inclined to implement best practices in terms of environmental and social solutions.” 🔗 Read the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/dPsQD9c3 Ugo Biggeri Aldo Bonati Andreas von Angerer Richard Buch Karoline Wagner Julie Saussé Louise Conze Ben Sturzenegger Tommy Piemonte Cesare Vitali Alix Roy Matthias Narr Alice Balmer Arnaud Lacaze Yaël Le Solliec Edmond Schaff Rachael Monteiro Charlie Crossley

Thank you Rita Sebestyen, PhD and EIRIS Foundation for a great conversation about one of my favorite topics! Bit of a stream of consciouness interview but hopefully you can get the gist of my point. All investments have an impact - on employees, suppliers, customers, the local community, etc. So whether you describe yourself as an ‘impact investor’ or not, your investments do have an impact, both positive and negative. I believe that we must use our voice as shareholders to advocate for consideration and action(!) by our portfolio companies on systemic risks - climate change, economic inequality, racial and gender inequity, etc. None of us can do everything, but each of us can do something to contribute to a more sustainable and just world. End of my naive rant😀. #sustainableinvesting #impactinvesting #ESG
