Coldplay’s Concert in India Cancelled!?
hehehe they’re still coming🥰
Let’s face it, Coldplay tickets are like golden lottery tickets 🏆
except instead of winning money, you spend it.
Some people might have sold their kidneys (or at least “thought” about it)
to buy those ₹20k seats.
Suddenly, flights to Mumbai are more packed than Mumbai locals at rush hour! ✈️ Every hotel room in the city? Gone. Airbnb hosts probably rent out their balconies for ₹10k a night. It's like the IPL, but with more Coldplay fans and fewer cricket bats.
You’re not a real Coldplay fan unless you’ve spent ₹5,000 on a t-shirt that says "Viva La Vida" in Hindi.(There is no such T-shirt but isn’t it cool😭)
But if you would’ve looked closer upon the numbers instead of my funny jokes(thx)
You will realise that the people who’ll attend one of these concerts will on an average spend (tickets range from 3000 to 35000 Rupees:*)and considering lowest amounts in other living, travelling, food expenses)10k to 20k above their ticket expenses.
If you are thinking “So what?”,I genuinely don’t have a problem with those who are attending it you should enjoy guys this is just a kids curiosity to breakdown things😭
But As of available data from the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) 2021-22, a significant portion of India's working population falls within the monthly income range of ₹10,000 to ₹50,000.
Approximately 40-45% of the salaried and self-employed individuals in India fall within this income bracket. To put it into numbers:
- India’s total workforce is around 450 million people.
- If we assume 40% of the workforce earns between ₹10,000 and ₹50,000 per month, that would amount to roughly 180 million people
However, this is an approximation, and the distribution of income varies across sectors, regions, and urban-rural areas. Also, income levels in India have been changing rapidly, especially post-COVID.
Even if you assume the number post covid as 150 million and the seats at coldplay concert being 50000
50000 people will spend 10k to 50k rupees in a day(as per their 🎫)
meanwhile
150000000 people will work over a month and will get 10k to 50k rupees gross in their bank account to look after their chores till their next salary
This thought just crashed into my mind and I thought this one should definitely be accounted.
After looking at all of this ,one thing amazed me that
Some People can afford to spend amount of their hard earned money in a day on their entertainment which is Some People’s gross income(also their hard earned money) for the entire month.
This is just a thought which throws light on two perspectives so please correct me if I went wrong anywhere
because I too love going to concerts :)♥️
So Whether you get a ticket, miss out, or have a friend who’ll “know a guy,”one thing’s for sure—Coldplay’s concert in India will light up our lives(and wallets) brighter than those neon wristbands at their shows.💡
