Does Taking Breaks Really Help?
I took a break for a month and 3 weeks, and coming back seems harder than I ever thought.
During this break period, I was one of the speakers at a health symposium at school. Specifically, it was a Health Sabbath day in Chapel. I was appointed to address the audience while controversial health questions were being asked.
Reflecting on this experience,
I learned several important lessons:
Lessons from My Break: 🌟
📍 Authenticity:
Consistently show the true you. I never knew people were watching whenever I picked up the mic to contribute, randomly talked about health issues and myths, or discussed being healthy.
Bring yourself to the limelight to show your target audience who you truly are.
📍 The Value of Good Relationships:
We need people to move forward; we definitely can't run the race alone. Wherever you are, whenever you can, maintain solid relationships with people.
📍 Always Have a Backup Plan; Strategize Your Content:
The saying "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" speaks reality. A backup plan could have helped me avoid such a long break.
PS: To find your authentic self, always practice the mirror effect. Stay true to yourself, accept who you are, work on your flaws, and celebrate yourself.
PPS: Don't forget to keep a good smile as you read through. 😊
