This client is laughing. And rightly so. After 4 years of consistent investment, she shared her thoughts: “I used to think investing meant spending all day at my computer figuring out what to buy—who has time for that? I always felt secure with £5,000 in my savings account, but now I see how funny that was.” ⌛Ana started investing in the Stocks & Shares ISA in May 2020. She claimed that she was a cautious investor and didn’t want to lose money. She invested £9,201.30 and at the end of year 1, that investment grew by £1,083.70. ⌛In year 2, she gained more confidence and invested £16,183.45. Her investment didn’t grow as much but she still saw growth of £1,671.63. ⌛By year 3 in 2022, she was super excited and invested the full ISA allowance. But that was a tough year for investors, and she saw her investment going negative for the first time by -£1,046.72. But by then, she already knew what investments are all about and she stuck with the plan (well, sort of!). ⌛In year 4 in 2023, she felt a little discouraged and invested only £5,770.21 and by then she had already accumulated 4 year’s worth of compound interest and her return was £10,606.59. What lessons can we learn from this client’s experience? ✔ Investments go up as well as down ✔ Consistency pays off ✔ Investment is a long term game ✔ Ana felt more confident over the years to invest more ✔ Patience is the investor's greatest virtue. Ana joined my investment mentoring programme in 2020. We can’t go back in time, but we can go forward with our money. On 18th June, I will be delivering a mentoring taster programme for those who are interested in learning to invest in the UK. I don’t do it by giving you advice but I will enable you to make your own choices. Sign up via the link below and I hope to see you there. ➡ https://lnkd.in/dwy6xH9P
