3 years ago, many people didn’t like recruiters. They were symbol of Linkedin spam. Now people applying for 100 jobs and they don’t get even any response from 85. Wondering why? 🤔 In some cases, it’s simply that there aren’t enough recruiters to process this wave of applications. 🌊 Recruitment agency contracts were among the first to be impacted by cost-saving measures in big tech. In-house recruiters were often the first to face layoffs. The reason? Companies froze or slowed hiring and didn’t need as many recruiters. The supply and demand situation has changed. Now, there are many applications but fewer recruiters available to manage the pipeline effectively. Recruiters who aren’t impacted by layoffs are managing multiple hiring pipelines. 🔄 Now I hear everyone is frustrated with slow hiring processes—both from hiring managers and candidates! 😩 We’re all learning about the vital role recruiters play. Although many didn’t appreciate recruiters, I’ve worked with several and found some to be great, professional, and caring. 💼❤️ They support candidates before, during, and after the interview process, even providing relocation assistance. The biggest scam on LinkedIn: I am hiring for multiple positions. "Like this post and I will review your profile" "Share your email and phone number and we will contact you" "Comment "INTRESTED" below and I will review your profile" Please understand no recruiter or a talent acquisition professional will ever hire talent in such an unprofessional manner. They are only creating a database out of your responses and also increasing their visibility, nothing else. These so-called jobs don't exist at all.

I’m sure this has been said before, but it’s ALWAYS true. I don’t need to be an expert in your domain, your industry or your specific technology and I don’t need to be the smartest in the room. I need to be able to source and synthesize information efficiently and accurately and be able to turnaround my work product. It won’t be perfect, but the cycle continues until it meets the need then I move to the next task. While it’s harder than it sounds, I still don’t need to be the smartest person in the room! In fact, I prefer to be in rooms where I’m not! #hiring #productmarketing #startup

I wonder when will organisations stop getting attracted to candidates having a Big experience on their CVs and will actually consider candidates with relevant skills and expertise. This is also true for when organisations have a leadership position open and they go out and hire someone, rather than giving internal promotions
