🤔Confused by your speed test results? The broadband speed you're paying for might not be what a speed test is telling you...so it's important to understand why: 1) The speed ordered from your broadband provider will be what is being delivered via cables to your ONT and router, not the speed each of your devices is receiving via Wi-Fi or ethernet cable. 2) An independent speed test will show the download and upload speeds that specific device is receiving and there are a number of factors that influence the result: 🔹Older devices or weaker hardware might not be able to handle the full speeds being provided and so could be capped 🔹Wi-Fi can often deliver slower speeds due to thickness/material of walls, distance the signal has to travel from the router and interference from other devices using the same network For any speed test, our advice is to always use a wired ethernet connection directly to your router, as this will always provide the most consistent and reliable speeds. #fttp #fullfibre #fibreoptic #fullfibrebroadband #broadbandplans
