As an executive, everything flows from how you spend your time. How you set your calendar directly affects what gets done in the company. To start, create a template of your ideal week that reflects your key priorities. This article by Molly Graham suggests using a calendar skeleton—a template of a typical week that lays out time blocks and core activities that happen regularly.

❤️Always love presenting these webinars alongside Lee Sheldon. The positive feedback we receive is always wonderful to hear and the topic of helping people take back control of their time and their lives is always a favourite with our participants. ⏳ 🥅 Crafting goals may seem relatively straightforward, but the true challenge lies in consistently taking small yet significant steps toward goal completion, week in and week out. Mastering Multi-Units Productivity Code – 60:30:10 – provides a straightforward approach to dedicating time for planning. 🛠️ This tool, alongside the secret to effective use of the Time Matrix, are the subject of this insightful blog by Lee. 📘Have a read to explore more about the subject. #productivity #timemanagement #blog #focus

Our first webinar of 2024 went well, although thank the lord I had David Blackmore with me to cover whilst I sorted the PowerPoint deck out at the start (which decided to crash just as we were saying "Hello" to everyone! 😩 Still, that minor obstacle was quickly overcome and we got down to the 'meat' of our topic, helping people take back control of their time and their lives! I've been a user and advocate of the Full Focus Planner system for years, and it so great to be able to share the benefits of this approach, on both a personal and professional level. I guess my key takeaways from Friday's session was being reminded of the impact that our Productivity Code (60:30:10) has on our ability to connect back (weekly for 30 minutes) and (daily for 10 minutes) to our most important quarterly goals 🥅. David (as always 🤩) did a fab job of explaining the Eisenhower/Time Matrix⏳ but with emphasis on how to apply it to help deal with incoming requests for our help (and therefore our time!), as well as more proactively, as we consider what we need to achieve over the next 90 days and start to assign our tasks and activities to one of the four quadrants. For me, the real opportunity lay in quadrant 3 "Urgent, Not Important", where our 4 R's (Revise, Reduce, Reassign, Remove) can be applied to see if we can do things less, differently or indeed to delegate them to other people? We all want to spend more time in quadrant 2 (Important, Not Urgent) but to do so requires an intentionally and focus, served with a side of ruthlessness to help us get comfortable with flexing our "No, not now" muscles! 💪🏼 If you want to find out more, explore this recent blog post that I wrote earlier this month. #timemanagement #productivity #focus https://lnkd.in/ecZcZqt4

Time management is a top challenge for leaders. You can teach tools and skills, but it still takes an entire ecosystem to work together to allow the most productive work to happen. Here are some of the ways clients have built a better culture around time: - limit meetings (both how many, and who needs to attend) - schedule half- or full-day "no meeting days" - implement 5 Gears language to understand focus time But here's a new one I heard about from Rick Whittington: The Mega Day The author schedules one every week. That is probably too much for most of us. But what if you had one Mega Day a month? Or per quarter? https://lnkd.in/eauYbe2d #timemanagement

Team Tip Tuesday: The Power of Regular Staff Meetings Consistency is key to running an efficient and happy practice, and that starts with regular staff meetings. Not only are these meetings essential for keeping everyone on the same page, but they can also be turned into team-building experiences that strengthen your practice from the inside out. Here’s what to cover: Updates & Goals: Discuss current office performance, challenges, and the goals for the week or month. Keeping everyone informed builds ownership and accountability. Systems & Processes: Review how effectively systems are running, like scheduling or patient flow. Use this time for feedback and improvements. Celebrate Wins: Recognize team members for their hard work. A little recognition can go a long way in boosting morale! Training & Development: Introduce new protocols, refresh skills, and encourage professional growth. A well-trained, aligned team benefits everyone. Turn it into a Team Building Experience: Incorporate short activities focused on communication, problem-solving, or even light, fun exercises to relieve stress. These moments help build trust and foster collaboration, strengthening your team dynamic. Ready to make your practice thrive with a more connected and efficient team?
