In developing countries, broiler cage is still adopted by farmers to produce lightweight broiler to keep the production cost and selling price low, so that chickens are affordable to the masses. This is done with the help of mechanization of feeding systems, manure removal, and chicken conveyors and also minimal footprint. To ensure feed are available to birds at all time, a continuous distribution system (CDS) is needed to allow feed to be distributed throughout all feeder lines intake. There are two common types of CDS system that can be choosed: 1. Auger CDS that has high capacity of feed transport (in photo) 2. Chain-disc transport that keep feed breakage to the minimum during the distribution The choice of CDS is ultimately determined by the feed type and quality that would be used during the production #ROXELL #CDS

As part of my role it is important to have the product knowledge to explain to farmers all over the country just how versatile our machines can be. Along with the above, I am always keen to show customers our machines in action. Whilst it is easy to talk the talk, it often helps being able to walk the walk! The video above is from a recent demonstration to a farmer in Ellesmere Port. Whilst talking over the phone it was made clear that his current machine wasn’t feeding his product (ground straw) as efficiently as possible. Our Hybrid MK2 mounted dispenser offers a far wider range of adjustment in comparison to our previous models. Wether it’s adding a top agitator or removing the bottom shells to add knives to the machine, there is next to nothing that our machine can’t dispense. I assured the farmer that our machine would be the best option for him and we booked him in for a demonstration. I was on farm for maybe 15 minutes when the farmer first saw the benefits of the machine. He was blown away with the speed and consistency of the dispenser. We went around his farm making sure that the dispenser would fit through doors and cover different styles of cubicles and mattresses all over the farm in the same consistent and efficient way in which it did on the first set of cubicles we tried it on. The farmer wouldn’t let me leave the farm with the machine. We shook hands on a great deal and he never looked back. He often calls me to let me know that the machine is still as good as the day it was demonstrated. Seeing the machines working to their highest potential is a huge reward and something I strive upon in my role. Whilst talking with farmers over the phone is great. Customer Success: How Our Trestle Turner Tripled Output for a part time Oyster Farmer In the world of farming, dual enterprise operations like that of Colin Harty's present unique challenges.
