Attended an interesting event yesterday 'The Industry Connect' hosted by SCCI Group. Most notable was the keynote by Dame Judith Hackitt who reflected on challenges the industry continues to face and how a successful regime is underpinned by competency, accountability and the role that champions play. My key takeaway was the call to 'Confidently, do the right thing, and not simply deliver the minimum regulatory requirements' - this is something that applies to all areas of my work not just Building Safety considerations. A good reminder to keep steering discussions to what we can do rather than accept the limitations of only what we have to do.
