Lithuanian startups: a tale of resilience 💪
Lithuania is among 3 countries in Europe to raise startup investments, with notable mentions including Nord Security and PVcase (each USD 100 million), and CAST AI (USD 55 million).
As Inga Langaitė marks, last year was challenging for startup ecosystem. “It was not about raising investment at any cost, but about sustainable growth, increasing profitability, and focusing on product and top talent”.
In this sense, Lithuanian startups not only understood the assignment but continued to raise investments.
Kudos to the top 5 investments raised by startups:

What about this 🤔
📈 According to Startup Estonia, the turnover of startups in 2022 reached a remarkable 2.1 billion euros, showcasing a 49% annual growth rate in the sector. Estonia now boasts a total of 1,400 startups contributing to these impressive numbers.
🤔 What's happening with us?
In contrast, we have around 80-100 startups, and their income remains significantly lower.
🚀 Can we grow our sector? Absolutely, but startups alone cannot drive this growth. It requires a concerted effort from both the government and private businesses. While there have been some initiatives, progress has stalled. The initial steps are no longer sufficient to meet the evolving demands of modern ecosystems.
It's time to reignite our efforts and build a thriving startup environment!
