💭 Here are a few of the most powerful thoughts I’m reflecting on from Dayton Moore’s session: Make an advanced decision. A decision in the moment is a reaction. Take no credit for the wins but all of the responsibility for the mistakes. If you’re not making mistakes, you’re not being aggressive enough. Give people more than they expect. Don’t buy into fear and don’t let perfection paralyze you. Model the behavior you want to see. Be real with your team. You never grow out of the need to practice the fundamentals and build the muscle. You won’t be perfect, but we serve a perfect God who modeled perfect leadership in Christ. 💪
This week, we held our first-ever Athletics, Arts, and Co-Curriculars Training Retreat, featuring Dayton Moore, former GM of the Kansas City Royals, as our night one keynote speaker. We discussed the vital role co-curricular activities play in Christian schools, highlighting how they demonstrate living for Jesus. From sports to fine arts, these programs enhance spiritual growth and serve as tools for reaching the hearts of our students and communities. 🏈🎨🎭🤖

Awesome Dr. Windrow. Your approach and delivery allow leaders to merge the two most relevant scenarios.... practicality and reality. Your approach makes attaining both a realistic opportunity.
The discussion around how to best support ALL students never ends. I was honored to keynote the 39th Annual Conference of the Learning Assistance Association of New England. The audience was engaged and the interaction was stimulating. Plus, the weather in Connecticut this time of year is awesome! Kudos to LAANE: Good People Doing Great Work!

Charter schools today need tools and strategies for navigating increasing complexities of the renewal process. Leaders need a roadmap for putting their best foot forward, and they need renewal not to become the all-consuming process it too often becomes. Come hear more during our session at the National Charter Schools Conference this Tuesday - and please reach out if you need support on this topic, growth strategy, and navigating the policy landscape heading into the new school year.
If you're at the National Charter Schools Conference here in Boston, check out the session I am doing with Heather Vega, Janelle Ruley, and Katherine Westerhold on Tuesday: Better Together: Strategies for Building a Winning Renewal Team!
