✨ From Novice to Expert: My Journey in the Agrochemical Industry ✨ During my six-year tenure with Hifield, I experienced a remarkable transformation in my professional journey within the agrochemical industry. I began with little knowledge, standing outside other companies' stalls at exhibitions, where everything was new to me. I absorbed every bit of information about our products, services, offers, and market standards. It was a challenging yet enriching experience that laid the foundation for my growth. As time went on, I transitioned to standing behind my company's exhibition stall with complete clarity and confidence. Equipped with years of analysis and accumulated knowledge, I effectively communicated with clients and provided tailored solutions. This shift from a novice to a solution giver was not only a testament to my hard work but also a great inspiration. I had the privilege of engaging with clients from companies with turnovers exceeding 100 Cr, understanding their needs, and delivering solutions that met their expectations. This experience significantly boosted my self-confidence and expanded my understanding of customer service dynamics. The journey taught me the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and continuous learning. I am grateful to Hifield for the opportunities and experiences that shaped my career. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘆? Conversations with customers that I have known for long a long time is what keeps me motivated. Feeling fortunate to have had another great consulting session this morning on my favorite topic: FILTRATION! As industry research networks try to provide value to the investment community on trends, challenges and opportunities, it is with great pleasure that I can speak my opinion freely and use my voice for advocacy in both industrial air and engine filtration sectors. And get paid for it. 😉 The industry analyst today could not believe that I actually started my career selling industrial aftermarket filters over the phone, did outside capex system sales offering dust collection in the Plastics market, then took over leading the AFM sales team that I grew up in, taking us on a rocket ship of sales success and profitability, became the first female national sales director in charge of US/Canada district management/OEM/Product Training in IAF, trained globally on best practices to entity employees and dealer/distribution partners worldwide, and then wrapped up my tenure by diversifying and leading evolution in the engine aftermarket business unit. I literally walked the walk and don't just talk the talk lol. 🙌 Beyond the consulting portion of my business growing rapidly, I have also been asked to do more in-person and virtual aftermarket filtration training sessions that I was so well known for in my last life. My father who I have referenced before,. retired from HELLA FORVIA, and was the main reason I said yes to selling filters 22 years ago. He is also an amazing artist, and it has been so rewarding working with my dad on new content, artwork and graphics that are 'Owens Originals' that I am incorporating into my Filtration 101 training curriculum and exclusively mine to leverage. Eight roles in the pipeline that we are also recruiting for, too, (mostly in the Industrial filtration sales space), so it is great to be back in action and firing on all cylinders once again!
