If you want to launch your own card program, you need to obtain a Bank Identification Number (BIN). A BIN consists of the initial four to six numbers on a #payment card. It serves as a unique identifier for the institution issuing the card and its attributes. It is critical in routing the transactions correctly. You can acquire a BIN through two methods: obtaining a license under a card network or leveraging a BIN sponsor. Regardless of the path you choose, it's important to consider the following types of BINs: 🔹 Dedicated BIN 🔹 Shared BIN 🔹 Retail BIN 🔹 Commercial BIN To gain a better understanding of these BIN options and determine the optimal choice for your needs, explore more here: https://lnkd.in/gMf3CN5i

If you owned a business between January 1, 2004 to January 25, 2019 AND accepted Visa and/or Mastercard, you are likely eligible to file a claim in the $5.54B Visa-Mastercard Interchange Fee settlement. With the claim filing deadline pushed to February 4, 2025, this adds at least six months to your wait if you've filed or plan to file a claim. More claimants are being added, which means lower payouts and more delays. 💡 Why wait? You can sell your claim to Certificate Clearing and access your funds sooner. Put that money to work—whether it's paying off debt or investing in growth—instead of waiting for a reduced payout. 🔗 Take control of your financial future today: https://lnkd.in/gDmHUiQc #VisaMastercardInterchangeFeeSettlement #classactions #CCC #monetizetoday **Disclaimer: Claim forms are being delivered and available online beginning December 1, 2023. Class members need not sign up for a third-party service in order to participate in any monetary relief. No-cost assistance is available from the Class Administrator and Class Counsel during the claims-filing period. See more information at the Court-approved website: https://lnkd.in/e67BTNG

90% of people use credit cards the wrong way. Last week, I used my Amex card to fund my parent's trip to New York. (without paying a penny) That's the sort of stuff you should use a credit card for. If your credit card or loyalty program costs you more and leaves you hanging, You need to ditch the trap. The point of using a credit card is to save you money, Not to cost you more. Every time I make a purchase with the Amex Card, I earn Avios points. £1 spent = 1 Point I used these points to book flights for me and my parents to New York. That's what the right usage of a credit card looks like ✅ If you're a credit card user, Act smart and use the benefits instead of building up a backlog of bills.

2022 Mediator of the Year | I save businesses time, energy and money by resolving disputes without costly trials. And I train and coach clients' to build skills and confidence in negotiation and conflict management
Thank you to Lucas Baird and Gus McCubbing for this interesting article about credit card surcharges. It really is a significant issue for businesses. I started accepting credit card payments relatively recently and I pass on the cost if some one wants to take advantage of the option. I only want to pass on the cost, not profit from it at all. The challenge is setting up a system that charges the exact amount of the fee on my payment platforms which only allow a fixed percentage calculation. What I don't do, because I hate it when other businesses do it, is pass on a surcharge when payment can only be made online (such as my Negotiation GP consultations). If you only take online payments, there seems no reason why the card fee can't be built in to the price. What are your thoughts? https://lnkd.in/gqsH6akw
Is there any rhyme or reason to credit card surcharges?

🧳💳✈️ Tuesday Travel Tip: Pack an extra ATM and credit card when you travel. While traveling losing your bank card or having your wallet stolen can be a terrible experience. This is especially true if you're traveling abroad outside of the U.S. Having a backup card can be a lifesaver if a machine eats your card, your account is frozen, or your card is stolen. Be sure to pack a debit card for a second bank account and a backup credit card that you keep separate from your wallet, just in case. If your wallet is lifted or lost or your ATM card is declined, you've got a backup so you'll still have access to your funds as you travel. #TravelTipsTuesday✈️ #HLS #LuxuryGroundTransportation #ArriveInStyle #NationwideService🌎
