Head of Brand Design at Retool

Today marks a new chapter for Retool. A work forever in progress. Our ode to good software. Our dedication to you. Retool aims to provide developers the building blocks to more quickly, easily, and intuitively build good software. We believe that a future with more software, and, importantly, better software, leads to progress on myriad scales and stands to benefit everyone. We now have a brand that represents this way of thinking and we’re excited for you to experience it. ——— When I joined Retool a little over two years ago, Ryan Lucas tasked me with two big things to accomplish. Building a world class brand design team and building a brand for Retool that would not only set us apart but one that inspires developers of the world to see the possibilities of what our product can offer them. I assembled an incredible team well over a year ago and I now get to check off the second accomplishment: The art of good software. All of this wouldn’t have been possible without all of the extremely talented people involved. Thank you to Cam Sackett, Chris Sandlin, David Robbins, Etienne Ma, Gabrielle Matte, Giles Lavelle, Hannah Meng, J.D. Reeves, John Choura, Jordon Cheung, Josh Eck, Julie Schneider, Keanan Koppenhaver, Kiersten Davis, Kim Fellman Cohen, Nathaniel Medina, Ryan Lucas, Sid Orlando, Sid Suri, Thom Allen, Willa Gross. To Banh Joy, Jaedoo Lee, Lili des Bellons, Shane Fu. To OK Motion Club and Right Hand Films. And to many, many others for their imagination, ambition, exploration, and input. You can read more about the thinking behind the work in the blog post below that I co-authored with Sid Orlando and see it come to life on retool.com.
