Russian Baltic Fleet ships wrap up visit to Cuba, head to Atlantic After putting out to sea, the patrol ship Neustrashimy, the training ship Smolny and the tanker Yelnya will continue to complete missions of their long-range voyage MOSCOW, July 30/ A group of Baltic Fleet ships including the patrol ship Neustrashimy, the training ship Smolny and the tanker Yelnya completed an unofficial visit to the Cuban port of Havana and set out for the Atlantic, the Baltic Fleet said. "A squadron of Baltic Fleet ships completed the program of an unofficial visit to the Cuban port of Havana. At this time, the Baltic Fleet ships have put to sea and set a course to the designated area of the Atlantic Ocean, where they will continue to complete planned missions," the fleet said. According to the fleet, after putting out to sea, the patrol ship Neustrashimy, the training ship Smolny and the tanker Yelnya will continue to complete missions of their long-range voyage. The fleet said that during their stay in Havana, sailors had a rest on shore after a long sea voyage and carried out a technical inspection of ships. Russian sailors met with their Cuban counterparts, went on some excursions, and saw the sights of the Cuban capital. Senior officers exchanged visits with their counterparts on host ships. The training ship Smolny and the patrol ship Neustrashimy were open to visits by members of the public. The ships had called at the Cuban port on July 27. #business #finance #financialservices

Work in Aviation? THEN READ THIS. Most of us can hardly remember the case in 2020 when #Iran shot down a #Ukrainian plane that departed from one of its own airports. We know who did the terrible deed. But this legal decision should strike fear into every flight operating with either of the following criteria. A - into and out of Canada and B - with Canadian citizens on board. The law can some times be an ass. While the logic can be expressed and understood - I believe that in this case the judge was just wrong within the ruling and has set very dangerous precedent. Do we now need to exclude citizens of a country because of some judge in that country making a deterministic decision with impacts far outside of its responsibility? ICAO and different countries need to step in to correct this situation. Red Wings, Azimuth continue flights between Russia and Israel — Russian regulator Updates will be promptly communicated to Russian air carriers in case of change of the situation in the region, the agency noted MOSCOW, August 5/ Russian air carriers Red Wings and Azimuth continue flying between Russia and Israel, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) said. "Azimuth and Red Wings continue making direct flights from Russia to Israel and back, " the regulator informed. "Rosaviatsiya is maintaining the dialog with the Embassy of Israel in Russia and with aviation authorities in Israel as regards safe performance of flights to Tel Aviv. They inform that risks for civil aviation flights are controlled and are at an acceptable - low - level; nothing endangers flights," the authority added. What we should all consider is that if we help these foreign airlines to succeed by patronizing them because of their lower rates, what will happen is that Airpeace will no longer be able to compete and they will eventually start exploiting us again.
