Passengers will fly in 2024 with airlines that are putting their post-lockdown plans into place. And that includes shiny new airplanes containing new seat designs arriving at a rapid pace. A scattering of new airports and terminals will change the game in a few key regions, although some routes and airplanes will be delayed into 2025 or further because of supply chain difficulties. #Afroport #airportservices #airportexpertise #airportmanagement #aviation

"If the wheels are in the air, they're making money. If the wheels of the plane are on the tarmac, they're losing money. Do whatever you need to do to have more percent of the day the wheels on the air. And by the way, the wheels of Southwest airline planes as an average are two hours more than the industry in the air." --- #EfficiencyInMotion #AirlineStrategy

Forecast: Turbulence As mentioned above, a record number of passengers are expected to pass through U.S. airports this week. So, you'd think that now is a great time to run an airline. That's not the case: Airlines are dealing with an extended bout of turbulence; things like increased costs for fuel, wages, and interest rates. Plus, problems at Boeing have also led to a shortage of planes for airlines to accommodate the growing number of passengers. While strong bookings can help somewhat, they cannot completely solve the financial strain that airlines are facing. Source: Market Briefs for 07/05/2024
